Upkeep or no upkeep, I think 3 months to expire is an absurdly lenient timeframe. Especially considering all that's needed is a log in log out to reset the timer. I've no opinion on reintroducing upkeep, but regardless, I would give serious consideration to timing claims out after 30 days...
