Why you should be unbanned
Was dicking around making jokes. Said "is it becoming socially acceptable now to make fun of jews?" "they call you anti semetic but they dont call you wrong". Literally didnt say anything about any group of people, didnt say "jews do this or do that". Fair if you want to call it pushing it or teetering the line, but i think a 5 day ban for that isnt necessarily warranted. Im new to the server as of about 3 days, I like it, gettign back into gmod ttt, i can clean up those kind of statements in the future if it means I can continue playing on this pretty fun server. :)

You did own up to the 2nd "joke" you made, but you also said more than just that. Was wondering if you wanted to make any comments on what you meant by "being called antisemitic is the best compliment you can give me" For the record I wouldn't call it teetering the line but that's just my opinion.
 
oh lmao i did say that. again, it really just is just jokes. People call people racist, sexist, anti semitic, every name in the book every day, and i believe they have really lost all their meaning so I just ironically loath in it. If someone's just going to call me something, im going to jokingly own it as kind of my own protest to those tags being so overused. TLDR im being an ironic hater on gmod ttt because i think it can be funny, but i dont really mean anything by it
 
Seeing as you're only banned for 5 days I'm not going to remove the ban. I'm not convinced you're just joking and if you are you might want to take some stand up classes.
 
ok then man, I didnt say anything bad about ay group of people, if you want to uphold it then thats fine, just an odd choice in my opinion, especially since the guidelines say its a warn/kick first offense
 
After a lengthy conversation a couple of things were admitted. One I didn't admit here but there was a warning prior to the clip in the appeal, that I could have done a much better job at getting across. Two in DM's we talked about how the jokes made went too far and how the actual antisemitism wasn't addressed in the appeal. This was a joke that went too far and while what was said in the clip is entirely warn worthy and how these kind of jokes cross the line on our server. Donnie explained to me his POV and expressed that he is not in fact an antisemite and denounced antisemitism as a whole. TL DR this was a bad joke that was said after a warning that wasn't expressed in the best way and after accountability was taken on both ends I feel the ban being upheld for one day is enough to get the message across
