Pending Destroying Bumpmines

I may have to disagree here because bump mines are so visually noticeable, and there's a chance to survive them in some cases (water, ladders).

As said above. Bump mines are huge, in the way, and very noticeable. Making them destroyable would make them even more obsolete as a T weapon as they are now, much like how tripmines are now. They are barely used for a reason- Their giant noticeable laser and ability to be destroyed makes them not really worth a T credit most often

instead let detectives get dna off of them, risky gambit if they fuck it up and get too close :^)

I can see the reasoning behind wanting to keep the bump mines indestructible for the reason that they would be pretty worthless otherwise, its just strange to have something so obvious also be completely indestructible. What if they had a fair amount of health like a health station?

I know this has no bearing on our game balance, but they are based off of Hopper Mines from HL2, and that was their exact game balance. VERY noticeable (they even beeped when you were near), and couldn't be shot from afar

How about instead we let the Defuser work on them, so only Detectives or ppl armed with a Defuser can get rid of them

what if we did something more like the demonic possession from halloween and made it require the discombob or combobulator to destroy them

Bump mines make a sound while placed, would it be a valid reason (assuming the warning is okay) to throw a discombobulater towards the sound of a bump mine arming on maps like terror train :^)

This is a good idea, and a certain way I would balance them would be to disable auto-generated hitboxes, then adjust the body hitbox to give them more height instead of being wide.

I also just found out about Episode 2 Bump Mine skins.

I can get behind this, I've seen people hit my own mines when they're a pretty fair distance away to where it shouldn't
