Why should you be considered for a moderator position?Totaling about ~1250 hours of staff experience, roughly 30/70 split on mod/admin.
1. Do you meet all the minimum requirements listed in the Requirements Thread?
If not, please explain which requirement(s) you don’t meet and why.
Ye. Except associated discord account 'cause I literally can't.
2. Why do you want to join the Giants Lair staff team?
I like hanging around and it's been fun playing with a lot of old friends. Playing TTT without also helping out around the community feels off, be it in-game, in Discord, or on forums. I basically don't know how to just be a player 'cause I'm so accustomed to staffing.
3. What skills or experiences do you bring to the team?
(e.g., past staffing, conflict resolution, technical knowledge, etc.)
See previous staffing experience. I'm also a very moderate (heh) person in general; quite balanced and fair by my own estimation. I don't apply the rules for the rules' sake, but for the sake of ensuring a fun space. While I will enforce them, I don't do so anally, I'm good at handling dissent, and I have a good sense of when something is crossing the line between being fun and being spam/harassment/excessive.
4. How active are you across our platforms (GMod, Discord, Forums)?
Provide a breakdown if possible.
Currently, about 45%/50%/5% - mainly on account of having been unable to use the forums until today. I anticipate that number going more like 30%/50%/20% as things settle from the launch (and now that I can use the forums).
5. How much time can you realistically dedicate to staffing per week?
Varies week by week, about ~10-15 hours weekly across platforms. Between 5-10 in-game. Some weeks will be way more (20+), some barely even 5. Depends on my workload and current rotation.
6. How well do you handle pressure, criticism, or heated situations?
Quite well. Beyond my own patience as a person, I've had to deal with a lot of high-pressure, high-pop servers while being the sole staff online. I can handle criticism of myself and my moderation and take those conversations in a constructive direction, I'm also used to keeping a level head, so even when dealing with abrasive or aggressive people, I stay chill.
7. How would you describe your conflict resolution style?
Big on listening and empathizing, open to alternate perspectives on the situation. I'd describe it as being gentle but firm in general. Though leaning on firm if and when the situation warrants it.
8. Are you familiar with the TTT server rules and general community standards?
Yep.
9. What does your punishment history (if any) look like on our servers?
Be honest — transparency is appreciated.
On Giant's Lair, none. I was previously permanently banned for COI from SGM, as most people on staff probably know about. If staff have any questions or concerns regarding this, I understand and I'm happy to answer any questions related to it. I understand any apprehension that a former permaban might give admins about picking me up as a moderator. I can only offer assurance that it is distant past and will stay as such.
10. What is your reputation like within the community?
Can you name any reputable players or staff who would vouch for you?
Beyond the perma-ban, I'd regard myself as having a decent reputation. I don't recall having had many complaints about me in my time staffing other servers. My playstyle is pretty fair by and large, in the sense that I don't kill over every little thing and I can take some silly RDM on myself in stride. I've quite a few friends and people I'm on friendly terms with in this community. Including some current staff members. I'm not the most popular or cool person, but I also don't try to be.
11. add deathrun?
