Staffing ain't what it used to be

Hey it's your local IT guy and foodie. Posting this to talk about what's changed since I was last staff on SGM.

Back when I was in college working 2-3 hours a day doing private tutoring, staffing had a lot more going for it. It felt nice having that extra work to fill my time with. I liked doing reports, writing staff guides, discussing protocol, and training trial mods. Nowadays things are different.

I work 9 hours a day doing IT, and when I get off of my shift I want to chill and relax. I wanna spend my time on the servers enjoying the game. I wanna be on discord without worrying about troublemakers. On top of all that, after working in front of a screen all day a lot of the time I wanna spend my off time unplugged. I've been going crazy having rule discussions with other staff, and it's not worth it anymore.

I knew this before I applied, and I wanted to contribute to the community that looked like it would need all the help it could get, but after seeing how strong we came back it looks like it'll be fine without me. We have a team of SGM all stars, and I'm sure they'll handle whatever problems they face.

I'm gonna cut back on how much time I spend on GL, but I'll still stop by every now and then. I've been a part of this community since the beginning and I'll be a part of it as long as it exists.

Thank you for your contributions - definitely don't be a stranger <3

May people stop calling you over the dumbest user-level error 🙏
