I’ve been looking through the playermodel section of the pointshop recently, and one thing that really stood out to me is that there’s a noticeable lack of diversity, especially when it comes to models representing characters with darker skin tones. Representation might not be the very first thing most people think about when browsing playermodels, but it does have an impact on the overall variety and inclusiveness of the server. Having a broader range of playermodels not only gives players more options to express themselves, but also keeps things fresh and fun when you’re choosing a character to run around as.

With that in mind, I’d like to suggest adding a Kanye West playermodel to the shop. Regardless of how you feel about him personally, Kanye is one of the most recognizable and influential figures in modern music and pop culture. He’s definitely a polarizing personality—sometimes for good reason—but that’s part of what makes him such a compelling choice. A Kanye playermodel wouldn’t just add representation; it would also bring in someone who players will instantly recognize, which adds to the entertainment value of the server.

At the end of the day, Kanye is a global superstar with an undeniably massive impact on music, fashion, and culture. Even if you don’t consider yourself a fan of him as a person, I think it’s fair to say almost everyone has at least one Kanye song they enjoy or remember fondly. That kind of universal recognition is exactly what makes a playermodel stand out and feel meaningful. Adding him to the roster would fill a noticeable gap in the pointshop while also giving players a fun, conversation-starting option that reflects a real piece of modern culture.

I honestly don’t get how you can treat the idea of diversity and representation like a joke. Kanye West isn’t just some celebrity—he’s one of the biggest inspirations for “colored people” in America. He came from literally nothing and built himself into one of the richest Black men in the country. That’s not just success; that’s proof that people who are systematically underestimated can still dominate and influence the world.

Yes, Kanye is controversial—and maybe some of his actions and statements are wild—but a lot of that stems from his mental health struggles, something people seem all too eager to mock instead of understand. Despite all that, his music, his story, and his drive have inspired millions, including me personally. I wouldn’t have the confidence to chase my dreams today without him. So yeah, if adding a Kanye West player model offends you, maybe it’s because you don’t understand the kind of cultural and personal impact he actually has.

Sorry if I’m getting a bit heated, but I’m genuinely baffled—this supposedly “woke” community still hasn’t properly included any real diversity or representation? Like, how has this slipped under the radar for so long? It’s honestly hard to take that seriously…
 
Given the current political climate, it’s probably best to avoid political and quasi political player models based on real people on both sides of the aisle; it’s a gmod game mode ultimately focused on killing each other after all.

That, and real depictions of homies don’t quite fit in with the crew of fictional characters we got.

I get what you’re saying, but I think it’s a stretch to call Kanye a “political” player model. Yeah, he technically ran for president, but let’s be real—when people hear his name, nobody thinks of him as a politician. They think of the hip-hop artist, the producer, the fashion icon, the guy who shaped an entire generation of music. That’s the Kanye I’m suggesting for the point shop, not some political caricature.

Adding him wouldn’t suddenly drag politics into TTT—it would just add one of the most recognizable and influential artists of all time to the roster. People aren’t going to load in, see a Kanye player model, and start debating policy. They’re going to laugh, vibe, and probably quote lyrics. It’s about fun and cultural recognition, not politics. And let’s be honest—he’d still be filling a much-needed gap of diversity in this server, a gap that, for whatever reason, a lot of you seem to not actually want filled....

This thread literally has a response that proves off instinct a few people think of a more politicized version of Kanye immediately, whether it’s for or against a certain policy. I’m not going to change your mind with hypothetical situations that could happen (especially since you’re prompting an ai model to write your responses for you) so good luck soldier.

Love that song! It was really relatable and really resonated with me when my grandfather was in the hospital…. We had up to 9 upvotes at one point! I don’t know why these people don’t want a powerful black man in the game. Almost like they’re afraid…
 
is there a different model available on steam at all? wouldn't be against adding more diverse models but the face on this model looks a bit flat? I'm not sure how else to describe it but comparing it to the Carl one that was also reccomended the quality looks a little off

Im a bit more neutral on it overall though. Adding real life people as a model feels weird, I think models of characters from games makes more sense for a game server
