Pending One-hit knife as the default, not a perk

I didn't see this suggested anywhere, but if it was crucify me.

I like every perk except this one. One-hit knives are a thing in most TTT servers, the 2 hit knife has always felt wrong and one-hit should not be stuck behind the perkwall. My friend who plays ttt all the time joined this server for the first time today and it was one of the more glaring things he saw that he didn't like, and he liked a lot of what he saw. Looking back on when I first played on the server, I wasn't a fan either, I just opted to never even use the knife and still don't to this day because its completely worthless to buy vs the harpoon which I essentially use as my knife replacement
 
if you want to make the play 2 win argument a lot of perks would be, max hp station perks literally make you unkillable against certain guns if you hold e. While i think its pretty stupid these are the incentives for playing. If it was my way thered be no knife at all :ROFLMAO:
But I'd also make that argument that none of the perks that can be notably op should exist. Perks being the main incentive while playermodels are dirt cheap is weird to me because I feel it should've been the other way around. Playermodels should be the main incentive, because right now you can literally buy any model you want with like 10 hours of gameplay, the good ones should've been 20-40k (I'm basing that number on the fact that I'm at 20k after 35 hours of gameplay)

Edit: to clarify I do not mean all playermodels are expensive, but have them tiered based on desirability

too bad there's no way to make the one hit work only on a backstab only like counterstrike
I know this isn't the main point of this thread, but I love this concept and it should totally be possible. This was a thing in Crescent as a modifier for guns. If I remember right, you can achieve this just by checking the direction both players are facing during the attack.
