Hello there! It's my first time making a post on this forum, i been some weeks playing this server and its been a wonderfull experience, pretty amazing people on here.
Brings me so much nostalgia when i played TTT a long ago.
Recently because of this i been hyped about creating my own maps for the community or posting them on the workshop so I started my journey on Hammer, i been using it for 2 days now.
Im just showing a small portion of it to you guys. Most of the time i spent on it was learning how things work on the editor, but if u guys can tell me how its starting to look or any advice would be great, thanks for your time!
The idea of it is to make a Beach club map/resort idk if i will finish it but learning its the prio.
PD: That seagull gave me nighmares, and sorry if its not on the right place on the forum im not sure where to post it.

TTT First traitor trap, more incoming.
Beach Pool New Zone just was testing the overlays/decal for fun with the server logo. it looks cool.

Not too familiar with hammer, but I think this looks like a good start!

If your goal is a beach club/resort, I'd say the map needs to be brighter. The skybox makes it look abandoned, or like everyone left because of the weather (which honestly is an interesting vibe if you wanted to go that route), and the pool chairs + umbrellas are so much brighter than anything else that they stick out in an awkward way.

I like the building you have in there, I think it definitely fits the vibe. I could see this going either the route of one big building with some smaller ancillary buildings, or a row of shops on a small street. Do you have reference images?

It's a bit hard to gauge the size of the map from this view, but I'm guessing this is somewhere between jondome and nuketown in size? I think that's the perfect size, but how you divide the space via buildings is going to be the determining factor on whether or not the size is fun. If you haven't already, I'd recommend making a floor plan in paint or something first.

There was no actual lighting on the photo just the default one, now i added some fog and lighting thanks for the advice will post when its more advanced, and yes im trying to give an abandoned feeling and cold, and yes the gameplay part is giving me headcache but thats after i get all the visuals around wanna have a base where after i adapt it to gameplay!
Cant upload directly dont know why i put here .

This is a super cool project - please share more WIP showcases as you progress. I'd love to follow along with how it develops and how your skills with using Hammer grow <3

Also, just for the record, I moved it from general discussion to TTT discussion. Since it's a TTT map.
I don't think it particularly matters one way or the other - you did nothing wrong in posting it to general.

make a seagull traitor trap and give us all nightmares :^)

Would be hilarious, have to see how possible it is, didnt touch to much autorun luas but thinking about this gives me idea of when traitor activate the trap, 3 seagulls spawn and go attack the closest player to the event, will give it a try for sure!

I think i got your idea more or less right? It took more that i desire to make it work right, have to polish it but here we are already more or less! Added a audio decrease inside buildings for more inmersion too! Will start with the gameplay buildings asap.
Hope you guys like it, would be more fun when some goofy sound added to the fall. Its balanced too because it has a chance to fall on the event caster too, rn it has no dealy or cost but i will add it. It dosnt show on screen like a ttt button because i plan in hiding a bit for new player having to discover it in someway.

It looks really good ngl, I believe that this map can bring good things in low, and med pop. I'd suggest you to add some more buildings so taht is not a large open space, rather a mixed so it is a great experience. Overall really good.

Thanks! For sure, i think the map lenght its gonna be reduced a bit but its just pretty bare bone rn have to work more on that side, now that i know to do ttt traps and all gonna focus on that more.
