Denied Spook-A-Sketch's Discord Staff Application

I have no disagreements with having a few ex Admins around as discord staff, because we could get the best of both worlds there. Easy +1.

Not a word of a lie and full disclaimer:
I love you. I am biased in your favour.

At the same time, I feel it necessary to mention your recent departure from the team.
I've no interest in breathing new life into a closed chapter - but I do think much of what contributed to your resignation at the time was either preventable or able to be resolved.
At the time you made the determination to resign and remove yourself from the team, at least on the TTT side of things. Which is entirely fair, no if or but.
I'd like to ask you what thoughts you might have had in regards to all that transpired in the time since?

What you are considering much I more consider a straw, I had been talking for a few weeks about resigning due to my new job but held off after wubby left until Noct got someone to replace him.
It more all lined up in a way to when what happened, it just gave me the final push I needed to step away. So was it something able to be resolved, yes probably, but it wasn't going to be preventable, it was a "when" and not an "if" situation for me long before what transpired.

In terms of thoughts about what happened, I still think it could have been handled better on all sides, but I've spoken with those involved and hold no ill-will with anyone. I made that clear the day I left <3

I have no intentions of returning to TTT staff, I have very little free time and wish to put hours into the games I play, but I am constantly active on discord, so wish to be able to at the very least, help there when I can.

My understanding from the recently discovered “discord mod” position is that we want active members who can show patience and understanding as our new found friends learn our rulesets and what we are all about, which you are more than capable of. From what I’ve gathered, you also have the ability to blur the lines on our rulings and make things more confusing for our new friends, something we don’t want to see any staff member doing.


While you would be a valued voice in staff discussions, I can’t throw my support behind this application for now.

We get along Etch, and I am a bit biased to +1 one this as well, but I just noticed something in this post that caught me a little off guard I was hoping you can expand on. You said that you spoke to those involved, and you hold no ill-will against anyone. That kind of sounds like you blame them for a bit for what happened whether you meant it to come across that way or not. I just wanted to ask if you can expand on your role in what happened and how you've reflected on it since and want to share anything we should know rather than reflecting on the others.

I can see where it comes across like that, and can assure you it wasn't meant to. This is something I rather speak about more in DM's than publicly. I'll reach out shortly.

Hello Etch,

You, other leadership and I are aware of what happened the evening before your resignation. While it is a big factor in my overall thoughts I'm not going to go into unneeded details here, you can reach out if you want more direct feedback. My only statements are that you were very adamant that you wanted to be treated as a regular community member, and that you have not reached out to or spoken to all involved parties as you have suggested in your comment.

After your resignation it less than a week before you were asking about being a mod again, and even with this app (albeit for a different position) it hasn't been a full month. I don't think I've seen or heard of the actions or growth I would have liked to have seen from you since your resignation to consider us past what happened. You wanted to be treated as a normal member and almost immediately decided that wasn't for you. If your resignation had been on as good of terms as your previous admin's I would be in support, but I'm leaving my -1 on this application

Aye, thanks, not looking for a private response though, or maybe not even exact details- I actually know quite a bit about what happened. I'm looking as more of reflection on your own behavior in this that can help others that have the same concerns so if you can, I'd appreciate if you'd answer on here.
