Spooky season is here, and we haven't forgotten! We've got a lot of changes to make the servers even SpOoKiEr OoOoOoHhHhHh! Besides in-game changes, we've also added the ability to link your forum account to your Discord account and a new Discord bot. Let's walk past the spider webs, zombies, and through the dark rooms to go over this update package!

Right now, you can get access to three exclusive skins! Introducing Grimwon's Gore Splatter, Repalium's Reaper, and @Xerp's 2019 Halloween Harpoon Skin - The Unholy Spear. These skins bring a Halloween spirit to the party that most people will vibe with.

Before the event ends we'll have four skins recreated by @Bonks - The 2019 Bloody Winchester 1887, AUG, M4A1 Carbine, and Scout!

Barrel Terror brings the reaper into town and they're coming for you. The reaper has a knife and a Barrel Gun which gets new barrels every 30 seconds. Watch out, though; the reaper carries an aura that becomes more pronounced as they get closer to you, causing your vision to darken. Use this to your advantage to know when the reaper is close to taking you out. When the reaper dies, everyone will be logged and receive a Halloween 2025 skin for the Barrel Gun when we roll out further content.

With regular terror and now Halloween terror, Traitors and Detectives are receiving new items to allow their team to be victorious. For Halloween, Traitors have Demonic Possession, the Zombie Vault, and Petrification Beam (coming soon after we iron out some kinks).

Demonic Possession: Place your sign anywhere on the ground to allow yourself to come back to life. Upon your unfortunate, and probably gruesome, death, your sign will glow with the fire of hell. When an unsuspecting Innocent or Detective walks over your sign, you can take control of them. You will slowly gain power while controlling them, and each action costs you energy. Control their movement and eventually with enough power, you can kill them and come back to life
Zombie Vault: Summon evil beings from another dimension. When you drop your zombie vault, it will be unarmed. You can place it anywhere and move it with your magneto stick. Upon arming your Zombie Vault, it will lock itself in place and start spawning zombies to attack Innocents and Detectives. Innocents and Detectives can fight back enough to disarm your vault, and throw it away.
Petrification Beam (Coming Soon): With great power, you can turn any player into a statue. Simply aim and fire at a player and watch as they turn to stone. Once completely turned to stone, they will freeze in place and die. So sad, maybe they will be a symbol for Innocents and Detectives.
Riot Shield: Detectives, CHAAAAARGE! Take out your riot shield to protect yourself from bullets and explosions. While being held, you can storm the Traitors and hit them from any angle. No longer are you just blood and flesh... you're blood and flesh that's protected! So safe!

Finally, Discord syncing! With the hard work of @Zikeji, Discord syncing is up and ready, along with his work on the Discord bot named Giant Bot™®©. Head over to link your Discord by clicking here. Once you log in with your Discord account, your store rank will automatically sync to Discord. If you haven't already joined our Discord, upon linking, you will automatically join our Discord server. Any future store rank changes will automatically be synced to Discord.

Last but not least, there's also some Halloween end-of-round music to make playing just a little bit scarier. Well, that's it, right? Nope, not quite! We're going to continue rolling out more content as our event progresses on. Keep an eye for future announcements on this thread as more content is added. The Halloween 2025 event will end on November 15. We wish you a spooky and sweet candy-filled Halloween!

  • Reverted M249 to "H.U.G.E."
  • Disabled Insta-Knife upgrade during fun rounds.

  • Fixed Jondome/Dinkledome sword tracking.
  • Disabled Pointshop during One in the Chamber fun round.
  • Fixed Malfunction Pistol having a missing texture in role shop (we promise it works this time, for real like 100% no cap
    💯
    )
  • Fixed many small Lua errors that would trigger upon joining or leaving the server, opening the Lottery tab in pointshop, placing sprays, using quick actions when right-clicking on a scoreboard player, tear gas, and other situations.

im gonna sound like a crybaby bitch but i think frag grenades are a poor addition to the game, especially as a purchasable item from the pointshop. I understand this server isn't meant to be as serious and "balance" shouldn't really be a massive concern, but im more concerned about how annoying it is to die to one of these, since you typically have no counterplay and all the person had to do was spend a small amount of points in the shop for what is stronger than most T-weapons that cost a credit.

Frag nades also completely outshadow every other grenade in the game, which again I'm not really concerned about from the balance perspective, but rather I think incentivizing the funny-nades like discombs is better for the game cuz it makes for funny moments. Making one bomb 500x better than the rest does the opposite I think

maybe its fun for the guy that uses it, but playing against them is not very fun and i'd rather get knifed or pooned since at least in that case the person spent a credit on me. thanks for coming to my ted talk

I'd say this deserves it's own thread. I agree because I feel like the use case for frags is greatly overshadowed by the amount of RDM it can cause, as well as being a cheap shot. Only Ts should have it and it should cost a credit for them, because it's essentially a jihad without much of a tell that the T can survive

I'm going to make this arguement knowing full well some of you will not agree.

Props have no counterplay, and props also cause a bunch of RDM because of people "crossfiring" with them, and also just some (please note: some) people wanting to swing them at mach 10 with no regard for anyone else. Despite all that, while we've talked about it extensively, propkilling is still a valid strategy despite how cheap it is and feels bad to get killed by by a lot of our playerbase.

Everything I just said above applies to frag grenades too. It is a cheap kill, it can cause rdm in the wrong players hands, but there are still valid gameplay uses for them in a vast majority of areas, and also can be used on some maps in creative ways.

I don't think it's fair to classify the frag grenade as an especially heinous way of killing someone when other ways exist that also have minimal or no counterplay

just make the frag grenade deal no damage and disable affected players magneto sticks for 5 seconds

I will take my nobel peace prize now

but you can tell from a distance if someone is trying to propkill (Holding a prop), meaning you can prepare for it, and you can kill someone for attempting to propkill (Failing to hit someone with one). With frags these dont really apply meaning you have no possible indicators that a frag could be coming at your face, because even if you see someone cook a grenade in their hand, its usually impossible to tell from a distance if it's a non lethal grenade like a smoke or a frag. The frags do make that ding sound when they hit the ground, but that can very easily be circumvented by just cooking the thing for long enough.

also prop kills are sometimes funny meanwhile frag kills are not , so lets focus on that

WRONG, magnetosticks your frag back.

Also if we are being anal about frag grenades remove combobulators too, I don't like getting vaporized with 0 indication because I was 1 pixel off the floor.

i am going to combob you off the train map for saying that >:[

That reminds me of something that may have existed at some point (or maybe it was just a suggestion back in SGM) but I think if frag grenades couldn't be cooked they'd fit way more into the game and their downside of cling clanging when hitting the floor would be much more relevant

also it would still keep the door open for "silent" frags if you first throw it on the ground at your feet and then magneto it into a crowd. I think that would be fucking epic and i should get mod
