    This is a very beautiful poem, I think the resilience and stoic optimism baked into it is an amazing outlook to aspire toward <3

    I like to read it as learning to love and accept the parts of yourself that don't match your ideal self. The poem describes failures on the road to an ultimate goal, and I really enjoy reading the poem through the lens of the "it" mentioned in the name being the failures, not the goal.

    I think it's the slightly defiant stance against your own expectations that does it for me.
    You may not be or become the person you want to be, but you will be worthy of it - whatever "it" is to you - all the same.
    Because you will have earnestly worked toward it and tried your best. Fail or succeed on the ultimate goal, you've still accomplished. Because you proved yourself worthy of it.
