AFKing to buy at the point shop just defeats the purpose of the point shop. If people are that desperate for point-shop items, then we just need to revamp the point-shop instead of promoting not playing the game.

But that's exactly part of the problem. Being AFK as a primary source of points for casual players means that most players don't get to enjoy those upgrades.

I didn't know about the rating boosting thing, but I do think it's a bit ridiculous the only practical way to earn the upgrades in a reasonable amount of time is to AFK 24-7.
