My thinking exactly as well. Arbitrary things that are simply just something to work towards, you can either actively do it, or just simply ignore it without affecting core gameplay.

I think there should be some sort of points buff for sure. Less of the idle "here's xx points for playing" and more getting points for actually doing stuff. Like, no hate to the AFKers grinding points out. The other night I left it running too out of curisoity when the server had no one...

yes, that is the point of making it a fun round. Fun rounds are supposed to mix things up and change the status quo. It never gets used, so thus fun gamemode of forcing everyone to use it.
