Detective Player Model over writing is for the greater good for readability of what’s happening in combat and hats in general… but what if we could buy different hats in the point shop to pair with the forced player model? I personally want to see detectives wearing fedoras, Viking helms, santa...
Each player spawns in with a hat at round start and the game chooses a random weapon for everyone to duke it out with. The goal is to kill each other and collect as many hats at possible, stacking the hats higher and higher until they resemble Doug Dimmadome. Players would respawn after each...
The detective hat only spawns in on players with no player model equipped. I’d love to see the detective hat spawn on all of our detectives, we all deserve hats.
Bonus points if you can find a way for players to claim multiple detective hats and start building a beautiful tower of hats
What does a more competitive mindset look like in TTT? If some players took it the direction of “oh boy, I got some points invested in this round, time to kill for every little traitorous action i witness”, that often hurts their betting chances more than helps since they’ll likely be killing...
At least the way I read his suggestion, it's only for your team you'd be betting on. I'm imagining your bet would get assigned towards the outcome after round start, according to the team you were placed on. The only real way you could influence this is buying traitor/detective, but even then...
I’d advise you that playing on our servers and letting this application marinate a few weeks will help you a lot. Even being well over the hour requirement when I applied, there were a handful of things I needed to correct my knowledge base on; former experience or not, I couldn’t imagine trying...
How different is our ruleset than your past community? Did they have a grace period? Overtime stipulations? How did they handle what a proper warning was for explosive t weapons like jihads?
Have you issued hacking bans in the past? What evidence requirement did they uphold you to for those bans?

There's something magical about a long, drawn out kill. Tripmines work too fast to give you this pleasure; bump mines are map dependent, but the screaming they incur when they work brings me joy. Meet the bump mine's ceiling...

pretty cool rainy vibe of a map with two skyscrapers with well-lit interiors, best of both worlds baby
movement between the skyscrapers being restricted to the 3 rats kitchenesque carriages (and grappling hooks) is a super neat...
There’s some maps with spawns (albatross, airbus, some spots on community bowling) that create massive choke points, body blocking players into silly spots often until round start. Preparing is an important phase for the non donators of the server, and being unable to grab a gun before round...
This thread literally has a response that proves off instinct a few people think of a more politicized version of Kanye immediately, whether it’s for or against a certain policy. I’m not going to change your mind with hypothetical situations that could happen (especially since you’re prompting...
Given the current political climate, it’s probably best to avoid political and quasi political player models based on real people on both sides of the aisle; it’s a gmod game mode ultimately focused on killing each other after all.
That, and real depictions of homies don’t quite fit in with the...
Not sure when the next community approval poll is scheduled for content (little too late to tack onto the one literally happening right now) but including some questions about this mechanic and if its something the community would want, limiting detective buys, and other adjacent fun grappling...
