I don't hate it, but I don't love it.
Speaking as a text-only gamer; I don't like visual bloat. And I worry that this would annoy me visually.
But the merits leave it worth considering.
I won't vote one way or the other; I'd be okay with trying this on a test server to see how it feels in practice.
