Giants Lair Staff Structure
The Giants Lair staff team represents our community across game modes, on Discord, and on the forums. Below is the staff hierarchy and what each role entails:
Trial Moderators
Not yet full staff members, but in a probationary period.

Moderators
The core of our staffing team.
Handle day-to-day moderation across Discord.

Administrators
Manage teams of Moderators and guide them through training.
Responsible for picking new mods and helping them grow.

Lead Administrators
Select Admins and make higher-level decisions.
Oversee major parts of the community and ensure things run smoothly.

Owner
The owner of Giants Lair. Responsible for the overall direction, vision, and top-level decisions of the community.
What It Means to Be a Giants Lair Staff Member
As a Discord Moderator, your primary responsibilities are:
Enforcing Giants Lair rules
Assisting and engaging with others on Discord
Maintaining a professional, supportive presence across text and voice channels - and any other Giants Lair platforms

Treat everyone with respect, regardless of personal opinions or history.

Stay active especially on Discord and the Forums. Visibility builds trust and encourages community engagement.
Commitment
Staffing can be demanding. You may have to enforce the rules against friends. It's important that you're both able to and are comfortable maining that neutrailirty. That's how you can help shape and maintain a strong, fair community.
Minimum Requirements (All Servers)
You must meet all of the following before applying:
Must be at least 13 years old
Able to communicate effectively in English
Linked Discord account
We use Discord for staff communication and moderation.

Self-Evaluation
Before applying, reflect honestly on these questions:
Do you have the time and drive to dedicate time to the discord server?
Do you have experience that would support you in this role?
Do you believe in your ability to engage with people appropriately?
Do you have the capacity to be level headed in heated situations?
Are you capable of compartmentalising friendships from moderation where necessary?
