How much time will you be able to dedicate to staffing?
most of the time out of my day, for now.​
Previous Staffing Experience
while I don’t remember the specific names of servers i staffed on since it’s been a few years, i spent roughly three years actively moderating various minecraft servers and realms. from what I can remember, i was never demoted or removed due to poor performance, as i always tried my best to be unbiased and make fair decisions when handling situations. in early 2023, i also owned and managed my own minecraft realm. for a period of time, it was run with help from only one other person, yet i was able to grow it quickly to a consistently full player limit and keep it active 24/7. the realm was ultimately shut down due to hackers destroying the server, not a lack of player interest or management. overall, i think these experiences have given me a solid understanding of moderation responsibilities and staff conduct.​
How do you intend to make the server welcoming and bring new players in?
when it comes to minecraft, it’s when I'm most peaceful and tend to really open up my heart. i could even say it’s my comfort game. whenever i play, if I'm not building or mining, I'm trying to make new friends. either join my team or I'll join yours, maybe we could be a duo! i know my competitive attitude has thrown a lot of yall off from trusting me, and i understand that. i can’t sit here and say that I'll be different in this game and expect yall to believe me, but it’s true. on another note, i would also love to help advertise the server, whether it comes to posting in different online forums or making videos, I've done it all before :p. anyways, i think i would be an amazing fit for being a mod in the server, but i leave that up to yall to decide <3​
 
I'd say there's potential, if you could expand a bit further in your previous moderation experience, how would you usually deal with trolls? What about hackers? You mention that Minecraft makes you relax and be more peaceful, but evil does might try to take advantage of that and sometimes you need to rule with an iron fist, are you willing to do this when a situation calls for it?

For now I'm going to remain neutral and +0 until I hear your response

i would see where the situation is at first, if it comes down to an immediate response i would try to make my decision for what fits the server best. if there is an obvious cheater, i might just give them a temp ban until someone with more authority can decide what the next step is for that player. if there is someone trolling or being a nuisance to other members then i will most likely give 2-3 warnings (depending on what they are doing) until i make a more permeant decision. i would not let my "peaceful mind" take over the necessary needs it takes to make sure the server is in our best favor.

REASON : 4 hours before you posted this application Noctorious denied your TTT Application - https://giantslair.com/threads/jacelovesyous-ttt-staff-application.1228/ - because you are currently banned for harassment (as far as the servers ban list says) and apparently were nearly permanently banned

So this 100% just looks like you are trying to get any power you can and your first try failed so you're here, and you don't have intentions to properly do the role as a staff member.
This only being made worse as you have been banned longer than you have been involved with the community as you only joined the discord after you received your ban

first of all, i really appreciate the feedback, and completely understand where you're coming from.

but i want to make some things clear real quick:
1. the TTT mod application was a joke, if you go back and look, it was a direct copy and paste of propers mod application who i believe also stole that from another forum, that's what i was told. i am not trying to "get any power i can", this application alone is 100% serious and i genuinely feel like this could be good for me and other people.

2. i understand that I've been banned longer then having actual game time, this is by my fault of having a horrible attitude and in my ban appeal i mentioned how i truly am going to start being better, this is a community i really enjoy and i want to prove that to everyone.

i also want to mention that i previously joined the discord server before i even know it was gmod based. after a few days of chatting with everyone i decided to install gmod, and join the server. where i was quickly banned a few days after that because i made the amazing choice of calling someone a slur. i then got banned, left the server, had a temper tantrum in the main forum chat, and left it all alone. eventually i came back, rejoined the discord, started playing again and everything was nice, until my anger got the best of me again and it eventually led me down the path of yet another ban. so its safe to say i have a pretty shitty run so far, and i truly can not expect anyone to trust me and trust my word when i say it wont happen again, how could yall? but when i interact with the community like this, when it comes to spending time in the discord and chatting, or making posts here and the forums, im trying to show some humanity. i am not a bad person, i love each and everyone one of you, maybe i am applying for minecraft mod too early but im just trying to show that i really do want a place amongst yall, all i ask for is forgiveness and some faith is process

I’ve interacted with you a ton over the last few months. You’re often a friendly presence in voice chat (whether it’s with some funny reverb as the voice of god or just having some fun discussions playing trouble in terrorist town with the boys), you ask questions on rulings when the situation prompts for it, and I truly believe your intent here is to help maintain the fun we all have playing with you.

You have a pair of slays for revenge rdm you didn’t mention with your punishment history above; I witnessed that situation first hand and I’m not worried about you repeating that behavior anytime soon.

A tidbit I will say about being a fun vocal presence as staff is knowing where the line between banter and instigating rule breaking behavior exists. It’s something that took me a minute to learn and sometimes I still have some moments where I play back the recording and definitely think I should have been better. That’s something I believe an admin will help coach you to find if needed.

Your application has my full support. I’m excited to see where you might go.

So in regards to this all,

I get regretting your actions and asking forgiveness saying you'll try to get better But a staff application is not how or where you do this.

You gotta show it to the community with lasting change and allowing people to gain trust in you. Once people have trust that things like "anger issues" or "tantrums" or harassment won't be an issue affecting your staff performance, then you should apply for staff.

Especially not before your punishment is even over.

Additionally, posting a joke staff application for a server you are currently banned on doesn't inspire confidence in you taking the role as staff serious.
Now I don't know you asides from the bad and that for a joke you made a staff application to have a laugh and knew it would be denied.
But as someone who does not know you, as someone who will be just a random player, that and your previous actions honestly doesn't inspire confidence to trust you not to get a little mad one day and start abusing your power ruining people's days or souring their experience on the server. Because from what I've seen so far, I as a player have a concern that if someone made you mad, you might use staff power to retaliate unfairly


Like I said, in my opinion, you should wait until
1, You've been unbanned,
2, You've shown the community improvement in both your behavior and your "horrible attitude"
And 3, Show people that you will take the position as staff seriously and won't use the power you'd receive unjustly.

I'm not going to reply to every bit of information here, ill just say that i didn't make this minecraft mod application to ask for forgiveness, i made it because i want to be staff in the server for whenever it comes out. also I'm going to mention again that proper was the original one to make the joke post in the TTT mod app, i only copy and pasted, no one believed it to be true except you and one of the lead admins, but that isn't yalls fault and i can see where the confusion and misinterpretation comes into play, thank you for your feedback and i hope you have a wonderful day/night
 
Well, this is certainly a 180. Just a few weeks ago I first interacted with you on Shoutbox when you were demanding your account be deleted. Then I see that you were banned for harassment 2nd offense, but you also have a kick on your record for saying a slur.

What has changed? What made you want to be involved in this community? I re-read your appeal, and like my first sentence here says, its a pretty drastic 180. A more important question is: What about this community makes you want to staff within in? You were so dead set on leaving and wanting nothing to do with it. Staff in this community are held to a high standard, probably a lot higher than you are used to seeing gaming communities take this sort of thing.

it could be a change of heart, or an act of maturity. i don't really know. but after seeing the kindness and love that came from everyone, after knowing how funny and welcoming everyone is, i realized that this isn't a place i want to throw away, and the way i acted in general was not only completely unnecessary but also not a way someone should act being my age.

Your attitude goes beyond simply being competitive. I wouldn't mind if you were competitive and got heated at times, but your interactions with players and staff have frequently escalated into hostile exchanges, especially with staff, when things don't go your way. As you are new to TTT, it's expected that you don't know all the rules; however, there has been little indication of effort to learn or adhere to our community standards. As someone who has been the target of what can only be described as harassment, I can safely say that your attitude is hostile and your presence on the server is a net negative. While I take the average slew of insults in stride, what I cannot take in stride are these comments you made in this video.


Telling any member of the community that, "I hope your mother gets raped tonight," crosses an unacceptable line. Staff members are held to a higher standard, and this behavior is fundamentally incompatible with that expectation.

I am giving a -1 that is entirely not subject to change. I personally don't trust that you've changed at all, nor do I believe you to be a person who can change. Even if you could, your behavior is so antithetical to our staffing ethos that I believe the change you would have to go through is insurmountable.

I hope this response doesn't entirely deject you from wanting to partake in this community. Just because I believe you are unable to change doesn't mean you are. I cannot say if your apologies in the past were sincere or not, but what I can say is that your apologies have amounted to nothing thus far, and moving forward, I would like to see real evidence that you have improved your attitude and behavior before I would consider changing my stance from being entirely negative to neutral. i will reply to more of this later because i am a bit occupied at the moment, this is the second time someone has came to me about the "I hope your mother gets raped tonight" line. im going to be honest when i say this. it was just a joke, maybe taken a bit too far, but an honest joke and not meant to be harmful at all. whoever i said this too i am deeply sorry if i offended you and that wasnt what i was trying to do. i just take the things i say too far sometimes and assume they are funny.

and to be more honest, it really isnt funny in the first place, its highly immature and shouldnt have been said. like ive said in the past i am working on how i use my words and the way i act

also now that i have time to write more, i want to say that i completely understand your lack of trust in the change of my behavior. how can this be something that can just happen over night? well it cant, that IS impossible. i cannot magically change my character with just a few apologies and hope of trust and forgiveness. i know that i have to work on myself and show/prove everybody that i am subject to change and to being a better person, i know i have that power, everyone does, but it comes down to the main question: do we have the strength to do so? and i believe i do. obviously making a mc mod app was a horrible choice because its far too early to expect any acceptance from any member here, hopefully one day i will have shown progress towards bettering my character. thank you for your feedback and i hope you have a great day/night
 
Hey Jace, we appreciate your interest in staffing our Minecraft servers. At this time I am concerned with your standing in the community. Many players (staff and regular alike) have expressed discontent in their dealings with you. Me personally, I think we had a fun time on low-pop the last time we played together, so I know you have it in you to be a good vibe for the server. However, some of the stuff you said to our staff and players was really pushing the line of even a permanent ban. I truly want to see you come back and be a positive face in the community, but for now I am going to be denying this application. Your re-application date is March 23rd 2026 (which is the same as your TTT re-application date and 2 months following your ban in our community) please use this time to show your improvement in dealing with people, before we can actually consider you for a staff position. All love <3
