I do meet all of the minimum requirements.
2. Why do you want to join the Giants Lair staff team?
I'd like to join the staff team because I'd like to become more involved with the community. It may sound lame, but growing up I've always liked the idea of being apart of a community of gamers like this.
3. What skills or experiences do you bring to the team?
Admittedly, I do not think I am skilled in much. I can however say that I am a quick learner, especially with hands-on activities and put in an earnest attitude with whatever job, no matter the scale.
4. How active are you across our platforms (GMod, Discord, Forums)?
Across the platforms, I'd say I'm a good amounts of active in TTT server. When it comes to the Discord and forums, it's more so in a lurker way, but I like to chime in now and then for community hosted events and general chat when I can.
5. How much time can you realistically dedicate to staffing per week?
Realistically, I can say I'd be able to dedicate 6-10 hours a week to staffing. I'm open to putting in more time, though for my sanctity of my education and mental health, I'll write down 6-10 hours.
6. How well do you handle pressure, criticism, or heated situations?
Pressure, I don't think, has ever made me perform worse, save for my first job interview. As for criticism or heated situations, I think I can handle them well. I may be bitter over them but I can take being wrong and do appreciate a learning opportunity when from a wrong, impartial or biased perspective. I'm somewhat of a goody-two shoes and don't let my emotions or personal opinions warp my judgement when it comes to rules.
7. How would you describe your conflict resolution style?
I dislike conflict, so I tend to avoid possible escalation by trying to end conflict as efficiently and swiftly as possible.
8. Are you familiar with the TTT server rules and general community standards?
I do believe I have a basic understanding of the TTT server rules and general community standards. Honestly, the smaller things may get past me but I am always willing to learn. Plus, it seems like the trial period for mods seems like military bootcamp, so I feel as if those smaller things would be hammered in if I do make it to that period.
9. What does your punishment history (if any) look like on our servers?
I don't believe I have any bans or kicks. I have a couple of slays on me, for sure, most of which are from prop RDM which is always funny to me because I have no idea how to properly do prop kills. Regardless, I usually do own up to my mistakes and understand if I get reported or will ask for a slay if I did make a mistake.
10. What is your reputation like within the community?
I feel as if my reputation is solid, nothing too outstanding. I actually would have liked to put more time into the community to grow my reputation before applying, but I'm here under the recommendation of Muffin and decided to take the chance to do so now.
I want to add that I can sometimes be an idiot, but I'm not stupid. I can work with professionalism but be lax as a regular community member. I understand that you typically should avoid listing your inadequices in an application to make yourself more appealing, but I'd rather be honest to make sure the team believes I'm a proper fit for the community.
