Forum Guide

General Discussion

Each of our games has its own General Discussion forum. Here, you can discuss anything related to the game—questions, debates, discussions, gameplay tips, tutorials, and guides. You can also post media (images, videos, etc.) to share with fellow players.
You can find the forum here:
TTT General Discussion

Introductions and Farewells

Are you new to our community? Tell us about yourself! If you’d like to introduce yourself, we encourage you to do so in the Introductions section. We're a friendly bunch here at Giants Lair, and we’d love to get to know you.
Leaving? We're sorry to hear that. Saying goodbye is never easy, especially after being part of something meaningful. You can post a thread in the Farewells section to share your departure and tag close friends.
Note: Please don’t post a farewell if you’re only leaving for a short time.

News and Community General

The News and Announcements forum keeps you up to date with everything happening in our community—official announcements, game updates, major changes, events, and more.
We also have a Community General section where you’ll find community-wide threads—like this guide you’re reading now. Be sure to read through them so you don’t miss anything important.

Ban Appeals

Every player has the right to appeal a ban they were given.
To see why you were banned and for how long, visit the Ban List. After reviewing your ban, you may file an appeal in the TTT Ban Appeals forum.
Once submitted, the staff member who banned you will respond with their reasoning and evidence. The decision to unban depends on the case, the severity of the offense, and staff discretion. Serious offenses (e.g., hacking, mass RDM) are unlikely to be overturned. First-time offenses (e.g., RDM and leave) may be considered for pardon.

Reports

Players may file reports against others who broke the rules or against staff who abused their powers. To do so, visit the TTT Report Staff/Player section.
Make sure to include valid, undeniable evidence and consult the Server Rules to ensure the report is justified. Avoid reporting minor or insignificant offenses, as they can distract staff from more serious issues.

Staff Applications

Interested in joining our staff team? Great! Before applying, read the Staff Application Requirements thread to understand the basics and requirements.
It helps to be familiar with the community and active in-game. Building positive relationships with current staff and players can improve your chances—just remember not to advertise your application.

Questions and Suggestions

Not sure about a rule? Confused by a staff action? Post in our Q&A section for clarification.
Got a great idea to improve the server? Share it in the TTT Suggestions forum. Whether it’s a new player model, map, rule change, or forum feature, your suggestion might be picked up by our Content Team for further development.

Shoutbox

Want to chat with others on the forums? Drop into the Shoutbox, our live forum chat, for casual or silly conversation with the community. Just remember to avoid using text colors that strain the eyes, like dark blue.

Giveaways

Feeling generous? You can host a giveaway in the Giveaways section and give back to the community. Be sure to follow the posted giveaway guidelines.

Staff Roles & Responsibilities

Note:

All of Giant's Lair staff are volunteers. They are not rewarded in any way.

Owner

This position is held by Agennon. As the owner of Giant's Lair and all its assets, Agennon supervises and leads the community. Responsibilities include maintaining technical infrastructure, overseeing services and platforms, developing new features and content, making final decisions and policies for the servers, and supervising the entire staff team. Agennon determines the rules and community standards necessary to keep Giant's Lair thriving. As the highest-ranked member, the owner’s word is always final.

Lead Admin

The Lead Admins are part of the leadership team alongside the Owner, responsible for managing the community and its services. Their primary role is handling the day-to-day operations, making high-level decisions, supervising staff, and initiating new policies or changes. Each Lead Admin manages a group of up to four Admins and their Moderators and participates in selecting and promoting new Admins. If an Admin position is vacant, the Lead Admin temporarily supervises that group. Lead Admins are chosen by the Owner based on skill and dedication. Currently, this rank is held by Uncle Dad and Noctorious.

Developer

Developers create and develop new content, systems, and features for Giant's Lair, including in-game content, website and Discord improvements, and new games. They are selected and supervised directly by the Owner. While not primarily focused on staffing, Developers are considered staff members and have the authority to enforce rules and staffing decisions as needed.

Administrator

Administrators manage different staff teams and supervise Moderators. Each Admin leads a team of up to five Moderators and Trial Moderators, providing training, assistance, and management. Admins have higher-level staffing privileges, such as discretion in decisions. They are responsible for promoting and demoting Moderators, handling staff applications, and supporting Trial Moderators through their training. Admins earn their rank by excelling as Moderators and are selected by Lead Admins.

Moderator

Moderators form the core of the Giant's Lair staff team. Their duties include supervising the servers, enforcing rules, handling troublemakers, and ensuring a positive experience for all players. Moderators are organized into teams led by an Admin, with each team containing up to five Moderators. Applications to become a Moderator are submitted through the staff applications forum. Admins select and promote Moderators and oversee their teams. New Moderators often undergo a trial period during which they receive training and supervision to build their skills.

Trial Moderator

Trial Moderators are staff applicants currently in their trial period, learning the basics of staffing while being tested on their skills and knowledge. Admins may waive this trial stage if the applicant demonstrates sufficient ability. Trial Moderators do not have full staff privileges and cannot perform all Moderator duties. Their performance during the trial determines if they will be promoted to full Moderator status.

Thanks to all past, present, and future staff for their dedication and contributions to Giant's Lair and all staff-created content.
