Previous staffing experience
I was staff on a bunch of different now-dead servers back in the day (pre-2020), including servers for Prop Hunt, DarkRP, TTT, and Jailbreak. On Jailbreak specifically, I was an equivalent of a lead admin but for a team of 20-30 people, and I had to learn how to manage issues as they arose as well as develop better ways of addressing issues (i.e. rewriting rules).
Why should you be considered for a moderator position?
Do you meet the minimum requirements listed above? Yes

What is your goal in joining the staff team? I'd like to help out on the server during odd times where there's only 1 or 2 staff online on a full or nearly-full server. There have also been times where I've caught people saying slurs/racist things and staff have missed it, either due to being preoccupied or being alive whilst the offending party was dead, or other times where staff didn't have sufficient evidence to ban whereas I was able to provide a clip of the offense. These are the times where I thought to myself that being a member of staff would be easier, and I believe I would enjoy myself as a moderator.

What skills or knowledge do you bring to the table?
I have been staff for many different gamemodes, but across all of those gamemodes I have had to have some sort of understanding of how to de-escalate a problem or, in certain cases, look deeper into an issue to truly resolve it. As a result, I believe I have valuable experience from unique situations that I can contribute as a staff member. I also have a pretty strong sense of justice, and as a result, I seek to find the best, most fair resolution for all situations.

How committed can you be — short-term and long-term?
Right now, I can commit a consistent amount of time to playing and being active in the community. I left the discord in August 2025 to focus on school, but due to irl circumstances, that won't be an issue for now.

Can you handle serious situations maturely and calmly?
Yes. I have a history of not being able to handle high-stress situations well, especially when I am directly involved, but I have put a lot of personal work into myself and my behavior to address this. Comparing directly to who I was as a person during AHG, I think I have made significant strides in improving myself in this area specifically. In addition to this work, my irl life has improved drastically, to where I am not constantly stressed out/angry/upset all the time. Also I'm 25 instead of 20 now lol.

How are your social skills? Can you handle conflict respectfully?
Kind of a redundant question but yeah. I don't find myself in conflict much these days. If something upsets or offends me I usually just walk away or talk to a staff member.
As an actual staff member, I would of course do what I currently do: respectfully ask for the behavior to stop when it goes too far, and address from there according to punishment guidelines if applicable. This exclusively applies to conflict that breaks server rules and not personal conflict, to be clear.

How well do you handle pressure or discouraging moments?
I admittedly have felt overwhelmed during high pressure situations in the past, but I have been working on this area as well in my personal life. When something feels too overwhelming or upsetting and I need time to decompress, I try to maintain a calm manner of speaking and finish up whatever conversation/situation I'm currently involved in if possible before removing myself ASAP. After many years of managing my own emotions and reactions to things, I have come up with a consistent way to remain professional and respectful when I'm encountering these feelings.

Are you familiar with all relevant game/community rules?
Most of them yes. I obviously don't know all the punishment protocols.

How much time can you realistically dedicate to staffing?
At minimum, 5-10 hours per week. Right now I am playing about 20+ hours per week.

What does your punishment history look like? If you have one, how have you changed?
I have a handful of slays on record for various reasons, mostly accidental but I believe 1 or 2 was a misunderstood joke that I should not have done in hindsight. I of course apologize in these reports when I realize the joke was not mutual because that's not acceptable.

How is your reputation within the community? Are there reputable members who would recommend you?
I don't know if my reputation is stellar just because of my history in SGM/AHG, but I think I've made great friends here and I enjoy spending time with members of the community.
Rog has dedicated himself to being my cheerleader.

Cheerleader here.

This one is real, she had her practice.

Anyway, hi proper, I've genuinely appreciated the time you've been back in the community. You have been very welcoming to people in the discord and on the server you have been contributing to a positive enviornment, you match the servers vibe very well when you are on.

The level at which you are enngaging with the community right now is something I haven't seen from you in awhile, and I believe you are more than capable of tuning your relaxed and casual demeanor into what we are looking for in our staff members right now.

In addition, you have been very quick to alert me to things that need to be handled, you are training your mindset to be that of a staff member already.

You have my full support with this application. I believe you deserve a chance.

+1

Active in every facet of the community (I think I've seen your name the most in the Discord general chat over the past couple of weeks), fun server presence, knows the rules well. My interactions with you have been nothing but fun and positive. Easy pickup imo

You're an admin. Just pick her up?

+1. you'll be good, it'll be fun.

Ive definitely noticed an improvement in how you interact with people since I last really interacted with you back on SGM/AHG. Its been a long time and im glad to hear youre doing better.

I hear @rog the dog has an open slot.

See my response on the previous app that I didn't know was a joke. But without the hour requirement bit on this app I'll change to a +1

Good luck

To answer your previous post directly, yeah that was 100% a joke. The vibe on the server was completely different from the one in discord, and for whatever reason I thought you were somehow aware of the joke/vibe on the server (either by being in vc or something else), so I ripped that message as a complete joke that I thought you were in on. I kind of instantly figured out that it wasn't mutual or funny, and I regretted it. This is a mistake I've made previously and should know better than to do, and I don't expect it'll ever happen again (either with you or anyone else). Regardless I apologize for it. I'm also completely open to being confronted about this in DMs or separately, this instance was just a bit awkward and I had no idea how to proceed.

Hello proper, thank you for taking the time to apply! While I agree with the sentiment of a strong improvement in your character, I do have a few questions and observations regarding our staff ethos: Professionalism, Activity, and Commitment.

First of which would be - just the other day you submitted a joke staff application that has since been moved into the off topic category, however the staff requirements thread cites the following rule: "Do not submit fake or joke applications — this can result in a warning.". Submitting a serious application immediately after a joke one calls into question your genuine commitment to the role and contradicts your claim of being familiar with the rules.

Your application emphasizes a "strong sense of justice" and a desire to combat racism and toxicity. However, your behavior contradicts this. Until very recently, your Discord nickname was "WhiteBoyKiller." While you have since changed it to "WhiteBoyFriender," the original name was inherently provocative (and the new on a caricature of the former).

In the past few days you've also used terms such as "straggots", "foid", "whiteoid", and "chud" which I find questionable to the say the least - and I had to look up a few of them as I'm apparently too much of a boomer for them. In addition to that, you also made a comment accusing a user of having "dementia" during disagreements. In the last few days. This language directly contradicts your application's claim that you dislike "slurs/racist things" and have a "strong sense of justice." A staff member should not use hate speech or dehumanizing slang, regardless of whether it is intended as a joke among friends.

You also mention activity, with 5-10 hours per week, and up to 20. With roughly 60 hours logged on GL since mid-2025, I'm unfortunately unable to see when those hours were accumulated - so for all I know it could have been 10 hours up until a couple weeks ago when it jumped, but overall it strikes me as a tad early to apply if you're recently re-entering the community.

From what I have been told, this was encouraged by our own admins. Please don't hold this too hard against Proper. The admins understand that I wasn't fond of that day of memeing and fake applications and they moved the fake application.
