1. RANDOM DEATHMATCH (RDM)
1. RDM is the act of Damaging or causing damage to another player by any means without a valid reason, even if they allowed you to.
2. If you leave before a slay round is fully served, a slay will be added back to your SteamID.

NOTE: Intentional Traitor on Traitor and Innocent/Detective on Detective RDM will result in an extra slay
WHAT YOU CAN KILL/DAMAGE FOR:
- Traitorous acts.
- Guilt by Association.
- DNA that YOU collected from an innocent, detective, or T object.
- Detective arming C4.
WHAT YOU CANNOT KILL/DAMAGE FOR:
- Suspicion.
- Being near a traitor item.
- Refusing to test.
- Entering a claimed area.

2. SPAM, HARASSMENT, and FALSE REPORTING
1. Spam is irrelevant or inappropriate messages sent (by any means) repeatedly.
2. Our NA servers are English only. The use of other languages may result in spam punishment(s).
3. Simply "feeling offended" does not guarantee punishment when it comes to harassment.
EXAMPLES OF HARASSMENT:
- Aggressive pressure or intimidation.
- Targeted racial or group-based slurs.
- Targeting players by any means.
- Intentionally sending false reports (repeatedly).

3. GHOSTING
1. Ghosting is the act of providing current-round-related, game-influencing information to an alive player, or players, through means of communications other than world or team chat.
2. False or misleading information may still be considered ghosting if it affects the round.
3. Streams must be set to a 6-minute delay. Can be longer than this, but not shorter.
4. Acting on information that has been ghosted to you is also considered ghosting.
5. Informing staff members that the last T is AFK is NOT ghosting.
EXAMPLES OF GHOSTING:
- Telling alive players who the traitors are.
- Sending any message that has the potential to influence the current round.

4. HACKING, MACRO USE, and EXPLOITING
1. Macros are keybinds that are linked together to perform specific actions on a single keypress.
2. Hacking is the act of using third-party programs or scripts to give yourself significant advantages.
3. An exploit is a bug or unintended feature of gameplay that is deliberately and knowingly used by the player to gain an advantage.
EXAMPLES OF WHAT YOU MAY NOT USE:
- Macros or Addons that give the player significant advantages over others (handled on a case-by-case basis. If you aren't sure, ask an admin)
- Any third-party modification that grants the player the ability to aimbot, wallhack, or bhop hack.
- Any exploit in the game's code (punishment may depend on the exploit itself).

5. BAN EVASION, and ALTERNATE ACCOUNT USAGE
1. Ban Evasion is the act of using alternative accounts to avoid bans.
2. It is against the rules to play on Giant's Lair servers with multiple accounts/aliases at the same time.

6. PORN, GORE, and DISTURBING CONTENT
1. Porn is any image/video depicting sexual activity, nudity (genitalia, nipples or holes), sex toys/objects, or sexual substances.
2. Gore is any image/video that depicts Blood, cut body parts, people/creatures being injured, bodies/corpses, and similar things.
3. Disturbing content is content that is graphic or unsettling, this includes content that sexualizes animals.
4. Disclaimer: Up to the interpretation of the staff member issuing the ban.
- Note: Telling someone to kill themselves is considered disturbing content and will be punished accordingly

7. CHILD SEXUAL ABUSE MATERIALS (CSAM)
1. Posting child pornography, AKA CSAM, will result in a PERMANENT BAN and relevant information can/will be given to the authorities.
2. Drawings depicting minors in sexual situations count as CSAM and will be handled as such.
3. You cannot engage in a relationship of intimate nature with anyone who is under the legal age of consent*. Violation of this rule will lead to an immediate permanent ban.
* The legal age of consent in the United States is 18 years of age.

8. UNREADABLE/CONFUSING NICKNAMES
1. Confusing nicknames are nicknames that are meant to cause confusion when called out.
2. Names must contain 3 consecutive Alphanumeric characters and be readable (the first character cannot be "#, *, or ^").
3. You may be asked to change your name if it is found to be disturbing or liable to instigate drama.
4. If a staff member asks you to change your name, you must.
EXAMPLES OF CONFUSING NICKNAMES:
- Names like the Traitor, the Innocents, an Unidentified Body, and other similar names.
- Changing your name to another player's name, or to a very similar name.

9. TOXIC GAMEPLAY and GAME THROWING
1. Toxic Gameplay is playing the game how it's not meant to be played; ruining the fairness and enjoyment of others.
2. Game Throwing is committing any action to intentionally help the other team win the game.
3. PUNISHMENT: The punishments for Game Throwing and Toxic gameplay are up to an Admin's Discretion. We will often weigh the severity of the situation before making a judgment. Usually, repeated offenses will be necessary for us to take action.
EXAMPLES OF TOXIC GAMEPLAY:
- Killing someone who you know is proven just to take their T weapon.
- Planting unidentified bodies near AFK players so that you can kill them.
- Forcing a player into an area in which they will either be proven to be a traitor or die as an innocent will be considered RDM in all cases (ex. the pit in inno motel).
EXAMPLES OF GAME THROWING:
- Completing traitor win objectives as an innocent.
- Giving innocents traitor weapons.
- Helping a traitor kill innocents.
10. MALICIOUS USE of ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE
1. The use of Artificial Intelligence to alter or replicate any persons image/voice, without their express consent, will be harshly punished.

1. KILL ON SIGHT (KOS)
1. KOS is when you call a player out as a Traitor.
2. You may kill anyone who is KOS'd, assuming that person is not a detective.
3. Responsibility of the damage done to a KOS'd player is on the player who called the KOS.
4. Repeating a KOS may deem you as the original source. This may include stating that there is a KOS in the form of a question.
5. You may attack a Detective for calling a KOS on you; though we recommend only attacking them if they're attacking you.
NOTE:
1. VALID KOS: Explicitly expresses that a player is a traitor or they should be killed in a single text or voice transmission. Partial names can be used as a valid KOS (Uncle vs Uncle Dad). KOS/KO5/KOZ are valid KOSes.
2. SELF-KOS: A KOS against yourself is valid and you can be killed for it.
3. SELF-IMPLICATION: Saying something about yourself that implies you're a traitor. Considered a valid KOS if done in present or past tense.
4. LAST WORDS: Can be acted on if called as a valid KOS.
5. DETECTIVE PASSIVE: If a Detective is ACTIVELY DAMAGING someone, it is considered a passive KOS. If a detective tazes someone, they are passively KOSed for the duration of the tazer.
6. NAMING TRAITOR ACTS: You can't kill player A if player B said that player A committed a traitorous act, unless player B explicitly says they want to kill that person. (includes saying "Player A killed an inno")
NOTE: If a detective tazes someone without reason and someone else kills the tazed person, the detective is at fault and will be accountable for the RDM.

2. CROSSFIRE
1. Crossfire is a situation where a player accidentally causes damage to another player while trying to damage someone with a valid reason.
2. Not considered RDM.
3. Does NOT apply to props kills (except for the barrel launcher).
4. Radio commands ("Someone is a Traitor!") can be considered crossfire if you meant it to target someone else.
5. Telefragging is considered crossfire, unless done intentionally. (You must warn teammates if done in high traffic areas)

3. GRACE PERIOD
1. The 3 second grace period is a 3 second period after you have killed and ID'd a traitor's body in which you can still be killed for the traitorous act of killing someone.
2. Grace period starts the second the body is ID'd.
3. After the grace period it is RDM to kill someone for the act of killing a traitor.

4. WARNING TEAMMATES
1. You must warn if you're about to use an item, usually explosive or traps, that may cause damage to your teammates. (Includes Gauss Rifle, Frag grenades, Incendiary grenades, etc.)
2. Must be timely and precise enough to allow teammates to clear the area
a) Simply stating "I'm throwing a frag grenade" is not a valid warning as it doesn't specify where
3. You do not need to warn for placing C4, Deathstations or Tripwires unless you plant them in a place where they have a high likelihood of being activated right away.
4. If you intend to let innocents into the T room you must warn.
5. Innocents and Detectives must have valid reason to kill in order for a warning to be valid.
6. If you killed your traitor buddy with a jihad or traitor traps, it is not considered RDM if it resulted in immediately eliminating the last innocent players.
*A useful rule of thumb for timing is giving at least five seconds before warning and initiating action, though this may not always be enough.

5. AFK PLAYERS
1. Not immune to traitorous acts.
2. AFK players may be killed when there are less than two minutes left in the round.
3. You cannot kill AFK Detectives if you are not a traitor.

6. COMMON SENSE
1. When a certain situation allows you to, with 100% certainty, prove that a player is a traitor, or that they have committed a traitorous act, you may kill that player.
EXAMPLES OF COMMON SENSE:
- Two people go into a room with only one exit. You know the room is empty beforehand. One of them dies. You check the body to make sure it wasn't a suicide. You may kill the other person.
- Using a radar as a detective to confirm that only one other player is alive.
- KOSing a disguised player based off of their skin when they are the last donator alive.

7. CAMPING AND DELAYING
1. Camping is when you stay in a closed off space waiting for someone to come attack you.
2. Camping is allowed so long as you are not delaying.
3. Delaying is when you postpone an effort to fulfill an objective, or timer stall.
4. Delaying the round is not allowed.

8. FORGIVENESS
1. The victim must forgive the RDM for a report to be forgiven.
2. RDM chains and Mass RDM cannot be forgiven.
3. Admin discretion must be used to deny forgiveness.

9. TRAITOR BAITING
1. You may traitor bait other players as a strategy to make them shoot back at you.
2. You may kill players for shooting towards you, even if they miss all their shots on purpose.
3. The general rule of shots to be considered traitor baiting is that they must be shot within the 45° angle of another person.
4. Shooting at the roof / sky or the floor below isn't considered traitor baiting, and you can't kill for that.

1. PROP PUSHING/BLOCKING/THROWING
1. Prop pushing, block, and throwing is allowed.
2. Considered traitorous if there's potential to cause damage.
3. Prop killing someone in crossfire does not exist, that is considered to be RDM.

2. CARRYING EXPLOSIVE PROPS
1. Carrying explosive props near other players is traitorous
2. Includes carrying T-trap items.
3. If an explosive prop is shot in crossfire, the carrier will be slain for all the damage done as a result of the prop exploding.
4. If an explosive prop is shot on purpose, the shooter will be slain for all the damage done as a result of the prop exploding.

3. PROP-SURFING
1. Prop Surfing is the act of using props to gain height or vertical distance.
2. You may not prop surf to unreachable areas.

2. You may kill a detective if they are shooting at you with an intention to kill.

2. NOT IDENTIFYING BODIES
1. Failing to identify a body is a traitorous act.
2. Player must be able to see the body.
3. Player must be close enough to the body to reasonably ID it.
4. Player must be able to ID the body without taking damage.
NOTE: Point #4 does not apply to the danger of gunfire or other potential damage. The damage must be a guaranteed thing, for instance: traitor traps and incendiary fire count as things that would make it so you cannot ID a body.

3. THROWING DISCOMBOBULATORS, COMBOBULATORS, BOOGIE BOMBS, OR INCENDIARY GRENADES
1. Includes cooking a grenade in your hand. (D)
2. Smoke grenades are never considered traitorous.

7. GUILT BY ASSOCIATION (GBA)
1. A player is GBA if they are found to be witnessing or able to witness another player commit a traitorous act and not attempting to take action against said players by calling them out or attacking them, as long as the situation gives them a reasonable opportunity to react.
2. The victim of a traitorous act cannot be considered GBA.
3. Not killing a KOS'ed player is NOT GBA.
4. You cannot kill players for GBA if you committed the traitorous act.
5. Simply being with a Traitor does not make someone GBA
6. AFK players can also be GBA if Traitors left them to be alive after killing people in the same room.
