The Visualizer is an extremely silly detective item right now, whose use often leads to kills based off suspicion. There’s a change+ perks that could greatly benefit a detective rubbing together both brain cells:
Show Killer’s Player Model: This should be a change that requires no perk. Knowing the killer’s player model might sound useless/might inspire some kills on suspicion, but a knowledgeable detective can utilize the information late in the round to use some common sense based off remaining players ranks and make a KOS.
Equipment Evaluator: This perk would allow the detective to see if the killer had any nonstandard buyable equipment (radar, disguiser, body armor) equipped. This is actually a wild amount of information if used correctly; if someone is trying to masquerade as an innocent after making a silly kill on an inno, checking if they had gear via the visualizer would quickly sniff out the type of person they are. There a fair amount of counter play too; traitors don’t always buy gear and the animation of the visualizer quickly gives away what the detective might be trying to do.
DNA Symbiosis: If the detective has a dna sample of a killer and visuals one of their victims bodies, it improves the potency of the dna scanner pings. A faster refesh has merit, but I really think it somehow providing the information of “currently equipped player model” is in the spirit of visualization. I don’t think it’s overpowered, a detective should be rewarded for spending the time at a crime scene and collecting clues.
