2. Why do you want to join the Giants Lair staff team?
The Nostalgia is a big draw, Gmod is still my most played game despite not playing for the past 3 years, and the iterations of this community had been a big part of my childhood so going back to my roots is enticing.
3. What skills or experiences do you bring to the team?
I have been staff before and I do remember a good bit of the processes from back then, since I've been staff on any Gmod server I have run communities and clubs in college as well as created them, worked on conflict resolution between college students that were essentially ready to burn each other's worlds down to prove they were right. I also have worked in a service industry which helps with dealing with unreasonable and unruly people.
The ULX menu/console commands will definitely require a bit of a refresher.
4. How active are you across our platforms (GMod, Discord, Forums)?
I am relatively active on the discord, especially since the announcement and a bit before, as the forums and the discord server start their activity I will definitely be more active.
5. How much time can you realistically dedicate to staffing per week?
I want to say that I will at least be able to hit at minimum 8 hours a week, and will have more depending on work, some school and other commitments
6. How well do you handle pressure, criticism, or heated situations?
I believe I will and do do well under those situations and such, I just try to be the best me I can. I have grown up a lot since a I have been around the community in a significant amount of time.
7. How would you describe your conflict resolution style?
I do my best to resolve the situation as best as I can on my side, that might be admitting fault and working to be better, or it could be just listening and letting the person speak out their complaint as that tends to be the real issue. If that doesn't work I will use the rules and policies available to all to put a situation to rest and make it as impersonal as possible.
8. Are you familiar with the TTT server rules and general community standards?
I am familiar with the community standards, and the TTT server rules should come back like muscle memory as we get defined rules for the server.
9. What does your punishment history (if any) look like on our servers?
I will be honest in that I don't remember too much when it came to bans TTT wise but I do believe in that all I had was a voided RDM and leave once. I did use to have some issues with certain people that led to informal warnings but beyond that I don't believe I had any punishments of big nature
10. What is your reputation like within the community?
I think Husky and Kermie(Carlton) should be able to vouch for me a good bit as well as possibly Pigeon, otherwise I don't think i have a very big reputation for or against me. I was more of a neutral party to most I believe.
