The Farming Conglomerate™ is proud to announce our upcoming public flea market!

Our goal with the 5x10 chunk flea market is to have a centralized place for shopping, selling, trading, and minor events.

Our plans:

• Spleef Arena
• Small 1v1 dueling arena
• Rentable land for shop owners
  

Shop Owners: Shop spaces will be rentable, you will have full control of all flags in that section as long as you are renting and can build/decorate how you like (GL community rules apply). Not enough space? Rent the next stall over to expand your area or reach out to reserve a specific size you'd like to rent. Don't want to build your own shop? The Farming Conglomerate is constructing pre-built shops that are just plug and play (see spoiler)

This post and flea market area are from Noctorious the Player and is not representative of the staff team or an offically sanctioned staff post. The use of 'we' and 'our' is part of roleplay as a farming conglomerate but it's really just me Noctorious.

Sweet. Always liked having a 'central market' type thing. Server reminds me of a towny server I played, and it was so nice because there was a big market space connected to the main spawn, and when you went out everyone had like a chunk to make their 'store' that you could do whatever with.

One thing though; I wonder if it would be better on the staff side, making it an actual official spawn type thing that's baked into spawn as an official server fixture, so it's permanent and doesn't depend on one person sticking around to maintain it. Could still be community-driven for the stall rentals and stuff, just with the infrastructure being a server-level thing.

One other thing regardless of how it ends up;

Server should have a stall that cycles items. Higher prices than merchant_menu because right now money is kinda arbitrary and we don't have much of a use for it other than pay other players pretty much. Mix of stuff that can be widely varied and costs decently more than the /worth command shows.

Even something like a section that's permanent for aesthetic-focused purchases could be nice. Like colored stained glass, flowers, leaf clutter, etc etc.

Just something to bring money full circle back into the server so we stop inadvertently inflating the shit out of the economy lol

Also, the server thing can just be a general misc suggestion anyhow, maybe a server-ran market stall in spawn.

I made that suggestion before (pre forum nuke) but it kind of got hijacked with an auction house idea. So I said Fine I'll do it myself. The downside is that it won't be near spawn since my land is very far from spawn
