I know that I have not been around much in public as it was my hope to become more active but there has been a lot that has fueled my desire not to return.
I will start with my stepping down from my position of Admin a couple of months ago.
I could not put the appropriate amount of time into staffing the server or my team and that was a factor into why I decided to step down to mod, but it was also the unwillingness from Jabba to listen or be able to see viewpoints from another persons perspective. This was something that I deeply hoped would be different.
Now, it is time for me to resign from Mod and I do not come to this lightly as it has been a long time coming
My Current Thoughts on the state of the Community and Staff Team:
First, I will start off with our Lead Admins who have been working tirelessly over the past few months. I see you and the work that you put in, You desire for change and want to help to steer it in the right direction but there is blocks and inability to listen coming from the level above you and I know just how difficult that can be. To the new Lead Admins, I hope that you can continue the push for change from our current path as I do not see bright outlooks on the horizon.
On the side of the community, we hear a lot that there is not a crusade against certain players or groups but I will not be the first to say that it is a bold faced lie. Denying that you have a personal bias does not mean that you don't have a personal bias and it takes a great deal of introspection that some people do not want to take the time to do in order to better the community. My hope is that those people can actually look inwards towards that.
The greatest example I see of this is the vehement denying of a persons actions just cause you see them as good, this will be the downfall. The fact that a staff member got to the point of being able to USE ANOTHER PLAYERS RECENT LOSS AGAINST THEM IN A TIT FOR TAT ARGUMENT STYLE is unacceptable and I can not believe that it took that long for them to be removed from staff. This is not the place that I want to be a part of nor do I want to have my name on. I am disappointed as Giant's Lair seemed to be heading in a great direction but now I see that it is not the case.
The only response I get to feedback or criticism is outright denial and hostility which only fuels more and more hostility. The Owner preaches acceptance but behind closed doors there is judgement, targeting, and overall just a desire to "cleanse" the community of certain people with certain beliefs or humors.
I will leave my resignation with a final note. As a Lead Admin and part of the founding group of AHG, I saw what can happen when we devolve into this situation and I really hoped that the events that occurred there would allow Jabba to look introspectively on this new venture but with success comes power and with power comes control and it is clear that you do not want to give control to any other people. We will head the same direction that AHG almost ended in yet again and by GOD please see this and turn yourself around. You are a good man Jabba, just one who does not know what to do when he has control and power. Fix this

On a personal note, if people are willing to step up and help in certain areas and you tell them that it is "not needed" or that "we are good" or just dismiss the person but then turn around and put someone into that position without any notice to the person willing to do the work - shame on you.
