perk for traitors body armor that would make them immune to splash explosive damage from t buddies(frags, jihads, gauss rifle, barrel gun explosive charge).

Would save some people from silly deaths with the trade off of funny scenarios where someone can get kosed for surviving a jihad and taking no damage.

Perhaps 75%, but that's probably a little much.
 
i think this would make traitor stronger than it already is, being able to recklessly blow up in places your t buddy is, the only cool thing i could think coming from this would be ur teamate throwing a fraggrenade and you hold it on a magneto stick and run at someone with it id say maybe make it such a small resistance you can barely just survive with if ur on 90hp or above, would still be a strong and forgiving perk

I think this would be hard to assign a value to. Damage reductions from normal grenades are straightforward, but items like the jihad, C4, and explosive barrel gun do 100s, if not 1000s, of damage all at once. Maybe you can code the item to have different resistances to different explosive sources, but that sounds extremely jank.
 
cool idea but i dont think itd get much use besides niche situations like c4 spam rounds/if traitors actually work together which is rare. innocents dont often use explosive weapons and i dont think traitors can buy faster than a t buddy can jihad. no real harm in adding it though, or maybe armor could have this effect normally so detectives get a bit of a buff aswell

idk if possible but best way to do it could be limiting the maximum amount of explosion damage a player can take to 50% of their health bar at once

tbh I suggested this under the mentality of “how can we mitigate t buddy explosive crossfire” when the warning used isn’t the greatest. Maybe a perk is the wrong avenue to go about making things more accommodating to new players.

I’m thinking c4 should be a damage source excluded if we really want to this route, or traitors can uninstall their brains to win on clue.

Oh absolutely, C4 should be excluded.
