Previous staffing experience
Hello friends! Before I add in all the most important parts of the application, I wanted to acknowledge my previous time as staff, and how I departed the staff team. I never intended to upset or cause any strife with how I went about stepping down, in my previous communities that was the proper way to handle said things. As I have gotten a lot more time now to become much more familiar with the current staff and fellow community member, all my previous concerns are no longer present. I am forever grateful for everyone being very understanding and accepting of my decisions.

Previous Experience:
- Banana Gang TTT = Mod
- AOT/Acts of Treason = Mod
- TCN/The Cursed Nexus = Mod/Admin
- Cat's TTT = Owner
- The Forged TTT = Admin (forgot the name last time)
- AHG/After Hours Gaming = Forever a T-mod
Why should you be considered for a moderator position?
I feel I should be considered for the mod role becaus of how active I am most days, and how well I get along with nearly everyone who plays on the server whether new or old! I am also very level headed and can take constructive critisim very well.

Do you meet the minimum requirements listed above?

I most definitley meet all the requirements!

What is your goal in joining the staff team?

My goal is to help ensure the sucess of the server and community, I also want to help people better understand the server if they are new or confused about something!

What skills or knowledge do you bring to the table?

I haven been playing TTT for over 8 years, and have a very good understanding of the game and the general rules of the game. I have also been in management for about 8 years so I have grown used to training and helping those around me and I know how to handle certain situations very well.

How committed can you be — short-term and long-term?

I woud like to become a long term staff member going forward and better improve myself as a staff member. I plan to be active at least a ferw hours a day depending on my work schedule which is full time.

Can you handle serious situations maturely and calmly?

I believe that is one of my best talents is no matter the situation I will always remain calm and mature.

How are your social skills? Can you handle conflict respectfully?

My scial skills are quite well, though I will say I can be awkward/shy in some moments. But when it comes to conflict I can handle it very well and very respecfully.

How well do you handle pressure or discouraging moments?

Working in the type of work I do I handle pressure very well, I am super adaptable and I believe I can handle anything very well.

Are you familiar with all relevant game/community rules?

I am, yes. But I am always willing to ask questions and be corrected if needed.

How much time can you realistically dedicate to staffing?

I can most likely play about 2-3 hours a day depending on my schedule for work, some day I can do several more hours.

What does your punishment history look like? If you have one, how have you changed?

I have been karma banned three times, and I think only slayed once or twice.

How is your reputation within the community? Are there reputable members who would recommend you?

I feel as I ahve been fairly well known as of recently and I haven't heard much negativity minus maybe a grumpy comment about barrels, but besides that I know a few current staff who would very much vouvh for me if need be!

Need I say anything else? +1, cait is one of the first friendly faces I met when I first joined this community. Kind, funny, and a good understanding of what is and isn’t okay. 10/10, promote her to lead admin.

I made a joke post, but deleted because I wanted to pivot another direction.

With your recent resignation, there were a lot of questions that went in to staff morale, the circumstances between how people feel in the server, going to superiors, all different kinds of discussions. At the same time, and don't get me wrong, while rightfully so, there were a lot of holes and questions on what exactly the reason was pretty clouded between everyone. I understand that you'll have this conversation with whoever decides to pick you up, but for the benefit of the rest of the staff team here, do you mind talking about it a bit, and what changed since then and there to make a decision where this likely wouldn't be an issue anymore?

One of the main reasons I had decided to resisn was for my failure to get to know the staff and community a bit more before I had decided to hop into a staff role. Therefore I felt like I needed to take some more time as just a regular member on the server to get to know more of the staff/community. I had felt there was kinda of a wall up between myself and other staff when I had first become staff, and I wasn't quite as comfortable with the overall community to kinda of break that wall down if that makes sense. I really struggle to put my thoughts into words sometimes so this may come across incorrectly. I do know a lot of people had thought it was because Etch had spoke to me about my prop killing and I want to reassure people that had no influence on me deciding to resign. I will gladly answer any questions or conerns anyone may have. I again do not want to cause any strife with anyone. I understand it seems quick, but I have also put in a lot of hours since I resigned and I have been putting myself more out there as far as being the first in the discord general voice chat and atttempting to talk more with people I have not yet had the pleasure to get to know! I hope this clears a few things up, and anyone can feel free to reach out to me if they want to ask me more questions!

I'm sorry you feel like there was a wall between yourself and other staff - I've seen you in general a lot recently talking with a variety of different members and staff members, so I hope you feel like that wall is less apparent. I don't believe there was any major barrier involving yourself to begin with, but i understand how that would make you feel unwelcome feeling that there was one. I know I haven't personally talked to you much yet and that's not due to any sort of barrier but rather just lack of opportunity, for example.

As a side note, people can get silly about prop killing sometimes, it's entirely okay to fling barrels in any innocents direction when you're a traitor or even as an innocent killing traitors, all of that is perfectly valid gameplay. When people get randomly prop killed at 00:01 is where things tend to take a wrong turn and I don't think you were doing that in the first place, so by all means that shouldn't be a barrier either.

You're clearly a positive presence, and I hope to get to know you better. See you back soon.

Oh I fully agree on the 00:01 random prop flying into someone randomly, I am well aware sometimes I get carried away but I do try my best to do it tastefully if that makes sense, because I do fully know some people love prop killing while a lot of people hate it. just gotta make sure you alter you gameplay slightly to adhere to the personalities on the server, if that makes sense lol!

This stands out as quite interesting to me. Like, genuinely.
What was it that you felt was 'missing' in terms of familiarity with the community and other staff? What made leaving the team better for the purpose of resolving that missing link (for lack of a funnier term)?
When you say "kind of a wall up" between yourself and other staff, what was that wall? Did it feel like others had no interest in you; Did it feel like reaching out wasn't reciprocated; Did it feel awkward; Did you feel like it was a wall you put up, one that other staff put up, or one that was just... there?

A lot of this is personal interest, but I think better understanding why you left would help admins when making the decision of whether to pick you back up - and what to look out for to better support you in the event of your return.
Additionally, your first person perspective on those aspects surrounding your resignation is something I have yet to hear, so I'd be grateful if you could at least briefly give me and the others some insight.

Beyond that, I think your presence is wonderful and you have a fun and welcoming manner. You would absolutely be a valuable addition to the team regardless of the answers to the above, so have a +1 to keep you company <3

As I stated before I am not the best at putting my thoughts into words. When I had first applied I believe I hadn't been in the comunity for very long, so I hadn't gotten the pleasure of meeting and chatting with some of the staff. I think for me, leaving allowed me to feel as if I could better be myself around staff rather than feeling like I had to represent myself more proffesionally? If that makes any sense at all? With the "wall statement" it felt like I wasn't fully a part of the staff team while being staff. It probably more or less purely a poor understadning on my part and I tend to be really bad at reading certain situations, which I did mention that to Etch as well. That's why I wanted to take the time as a community memeber to better get to know a few people and just have a general better understanding of others personalities. It has been some time since I have been a part of a Garry's Mod community so I am relearning a few aspects and reminding myself that everyone represents themselves differently.

I apologize if any of that doesn't make sense! I do genuinely love this community and I have loved having the chance to get to know everyone better! <3

I think taking some time away after realising you jumped into it too soon isn't something that should be punished. You left to self-reflect and grow, become closer in the community without the added pressure that is tied to being with staff and actually succeeded in doing so. You didn't leave and just stay to yourself. Instead, I see you in general, I see you in the voice chats on Discord and obviously, you have been consistently active on the server since stepping down. You stuck to your goal and now that you feel more equipped for the role, you're giving it another go. I think it is admirable that you could recognise something wasn't working for you, and instead of pushing that onto other people, you took the steps to make yourself feel more secure. That shows maturity and accountability. Along with you being just a lovely person, a friendy face and someone that is super easy to get along with, you are obviously a fantastic fit for the team!

+1 from me obviously, I love you beeeeetch 🥰
