The "Pocket Calculator" is a passive item that would be bought by detectives for 1 credit. The item would give the detective two passive perks for the round:

  1. "Credit Vision" - The Detective would gain the traitor's inherent ability to immediately see whether or not a corpse has credits on the body. He can use this to his advantage in several ways:
    • Determining whether or not an innocent who identified a body is proven from a sizable distance
    • Enables Common Sense scenarios where you can catch traitors grabbing credits off bodies; makes traitors think twice about trying to grab the free credit candy off a given corpse and makes for some fun counterplay.
  2. "Bookkeeping" - The Detective would gain a tab in his c menu that tracks all purchases made throughout the round by both traitors and detectives. All purchases are tracked anonymously. This has several advantages as well:
    • Detective can sleuth out whether or not secret knife/other "t weapon" claims are legitimate or traitors trying to claim innocent.
    • Detective can warn his team about major risks to the lobby i.e. "Gang, there's literally 5 c4s that were bought and we are 20 seconds into the round"
    • Towards the end game, Detective can alter his positioning based off what is being bought, such as staying away from thin walls if a harpoon is bought.
I truly think this would be a neat little addition to the game, haven't seen the idea floating around for base TTT on the workshop. Powerlevel wise, I really think this item is hand in hand with the Radar and makes for a tough decison of what to buy for passive equipment.

Love this-- however the bookkeeping upgrade seems a little OP imo. I think it's a cool idea but maybe nerf it somehow. Perhaps it could tell you what was bought if you were within a certain range of the player when they bought it? For traitors at least, it can show what detectives bought always, I think that's fine. Or at least make the upgrade fairly expensive.

Maybe a delay would be better? Limiting it to a range would actually be a buff on some maps for common sense… I.E “my radar confirms there’s only one guy in the nether with me on b5 and my logs (which are limited to 100 hammer units or so) indicate a harpoon was just bought, has to be him!”.

Maybe limiting it to tracking just weapon buys would be better, or having a disguiser hides the purchases from the detective, making it a more proactive thing to buy.
