Greetings Giants Lair card game players.
I wish to host a Magic: the Gathering (MTG for short) Tournament Starting next month. And I wish to share my favorite format in this game, pauper
Espurr, Glorious Lead Admin, What is a Pauper?
pau·per
/ˈpôpər/
Noun: A poor person.
Pauper is a 60 card format with a 15 card sideboard where the deck is entirely made out of cards printed at common. If a card was printed at common at ANY point and is not banned, it is allowed.
You are allowed up to 4 copies of a single card in the deck. And any amount of basic lands
The format is played in Best of 3 Format, using the standard London Mulligan rules (Draw 7, put back <x> cards where x is number of mulligans done)
20 Life start as well.
Espurr, Fearless Summoner, How do I play this Magic: The Gathering
There's a few things you can do to learn magic.
Espurr, Liberator of the Many, I do not possess the Deckbuilding Knowledge to make a Competent deck.
Gonna Be Honest, I don't expect you all to come up with your own Brews. I do expect this to be netdecked (Copying a list from a Website)
If you want to see what's meta in Pauper Follow this Link
If you want to see random Brews (Most are still rehashes of meta decks) Follow this Link
Tournament Details.
The matches are to be played on Tabletop Simulator or anything that can simulate a full game.
The tournament will last either 3 or 4 rounds with a top cut depending on player turnout.
8 Players or less will be 3 rounds with a top 4 Cut
9-16+ Players will be 4 rounds with a top half Cut (Max 8 if we go over 16)
A round will last a week, from Monday Morning to Sunday Night. Please plan with your opponent accordingly. If you cannot make a week work where you can't get the hour to get the game in. You will be asked to forfeit the round.
This will be conducted with the Swiss format, looking to keep records the same
You are allowed to bring a different deck each week, but you must play your full BO3 with that deck.
Here is the Schedule for this
Week 1: Monday, Jan 19th to Sunday, Jan 25th
Week 2: Monday, Jan 26th to Sunday, Feb 1st
Week 3: Monday, Feb 2nd to Sunday, Feb 8th

For each week, post a link to your decklist that you are using for that week. This is to make sure the deck is valid. As a courtesy I ask you to not look at your opponents deck list before your match.
I wish you all the best of luck and remember to have fun!
