I think that’s fundamentally a lapse in our setup of authority and any balance of power and discussion you’d hope for in a community of this size then.

Overriding things like that is within his prerogative and totally his right, he’s the owner but it’s extremely disheartening and doesn’t instill confidence at all. Which is why I hope Noc is right because those bans should’ve immediately been followed by context following their implementations.

We have an incredibly motivated admin+ team of people who are smart, empathetic and slightly autistic. If they’re all saying one thing and that’s not coming to fruition then idk man. That’s more of a vibe killer to me than any damage a potential troll could do

Seven years ago I made a Reddit post asking for tips and advice when it came to creating and leading a Squad clan. I received a bunch of good responses, but something a large clan owner at the time told me was to make sure I was approachable and to actively surround myself with people who would disagree with me. Two years later, I would scrap the Squad idea (till this year) and launch my Mordhau clan instead. By choosing leadership I trusted- people who would call me out on my hasty ideas, bad promotions, and emotional calls, I created something that lasted longer than the clan leader who gave me that advice.

I'm not a Jabba, Pierogi, Highwon or Opalium- I certainly don't have the constant activity of a popular TTT server, but I've created something that's survived since 2021.

But- I can’t imagine sitting at that round table, hearing all my advisors say one thing, and then doing the opposite. The only thing worse than surrounding yourself with yes men and suckups is standing alone in a room full of people who came to stand with you.


Up until the last few weeks, I've genuinely been having a blast back at GL. I even have my Admin Aspiration filled out (I know those are supposed to go away), but with everything going on in my life, there's just too much, and I'm too bummed out with how things are being handled here to justify the staff side of involvement. GL won't crash and burn; it'll certainly be fine without me, but until then. You're all lovely, amazing people, including you @Agennon. I can't think of any real downers here, besides weirdos that make fun of people's dead parents. Much love.
