Since it's technically a different suggestion than my last post;
AFKing does not have gameplay value. If so many people, especially mods and admins and especially the lead admins, feel like they aren't progressing fast enough by playing the game- That means there is something wrong with the game. If it's detrimentally impacting our staff, it's even worse for the enjoyment of people who aren't invested in Giant's Lair.
Not playing the game should never be the way to bypass a wall to progression, especially in a party game. Whatever the specifics are to the solution, it doesn't really matter, we just need to make the shop and point system be based on casual player experience- Not the diehards. My recommendation would be to make a few hours playing give enough to an upgrade so everyone can enjoy those and who cares if most dedicated players have all the upgrades by the end of the month. Then, just make Skins ludicrously expensive.
The system, at its core, needs to be something that doesn't have people AFKing to feel happy with progression.
