Previous staffing experience
1 year of staffing for a 10k+ member discord server
Why should you be considered for a moderator position?
1. Do you meet all the minimum requirements listed in the Requirements Thread?
If not, please explain which requirement(s) you don’t meet and why.
Yes
2. Why do you want to join the Giants Lair staff team?
I want to help bring back the community after all that's gone on the past month,
3. What skills or experiences do you bring to the team?
(e.g., past staffing, conflict resolution, technical knowledge, etc.)
1 year of staffing experience, including conflict resolution.
4. How active are you across our platforms (GMod, Discord, Forums)?
I'm in the Discord daily.
5. How much time can you realistically dedicate to staffing per week?
I usually have Discord open in the background so it's hard to give a specific time since I'm pretty much always online. Just in case I get a job soon, let's say 21 hours a week, 3 hours a day, minimum. More if needed.
6. How well do you handle pressure, criticism, or heated situations?
I handle these things pretty well.
7. How would you describe your conflict resolution style?
I tackle the situation as unbiased as possible. If the conflict doesn't resolve after I've stepped in, then I timeout for let's say an hour while we discuss if more time is needed in staff chat. This is assuming whatever is going on warrants a timeout in the first place.
8. Are you familiar with the TTT server rules and general community standards?
Yes
9. What does your punishment history (if any) look like on our servers?
I have zero punishments on the Discord.
10. What is your reputation like within the community?
My reputation in the past servers has been iffy but I've worked to have a better reputation in Giant's Lair. Shaddoll, Wink, CelDamage, and RandomProps are just a few of the many people that I believe would vouch for me.

Well, a Discord-specific application process is something that will likely need to be created pretty soon. I'd say that's a great start.

We've had a lot of fun and good interactions. You're around Discord quite often. You have experience with staffing. I think a potentially underrated aspect I want to mention in here - you've given a lot of good insights in the major Problems thread, and I think that you could provide valuable insight for the staff team in general, and get the ship going back in the right direction.

+1 from me. Best of luck.

Hola Mewblue
I have mixed feelings about this application. I'll start with the bad'ish and end with the good.
In the last couple of days you've repeatedly brought up some controversial topics of conversation on the discord with semi-vague statements about them.
"Lowkey everyone left a vc as soon as the person that made that forum I just read joined"
"Wait is the thing about Ryan hopping in VCs just to record true 😭"
"Hello piergoi it seems you’ve been painted as a bad person in a recent post on the forums!"
"Weird how he got targeted in the post when, while not being the most likable person, and also being a bit of a dark humor enthusiast, is living in a war zone created by the country this ex moderator seems to be defending unless I read wrong"
Additionally, when another user brought up Ryan's posts, and I asked them to not get into it, you doubled down on continuing the conversation - first in response to me asking that user to not bring it up, then in response to me also telling you off for it.

Being a primarily social arena, navigating the murky waters of when and how to have a conversation is alpha and omega on discord. We all make mistakes, however what's critical is learning from them. I think the above demonstrates that you have some room to adjust before you'd be a good fit for moderating the space. It'd be good to see you vaguepost less, because it's likely to incite argument.

Beyond that, the good.
Your experience with discord moderation would likely go a long way in helping both you and us, especially drawing on that experience. Generally, you've also been a great and fun part of conversations in the discord. You have a lot of really good things to contribute to the community and the discord especially.

In summary, I don't see any major barriers to you getting mod, but I would need to see some commitment to change before I can wholeheartedly support you joining the discord moderation side of things. Consider it a +0.5 for now - you absolutely can be a good addition if you want to be.

Oh yeah for sure I'm really sorry for instigating a bit the past few days. If this makes up for anything, I've had some small conversations about the topic of Ryan with Jabba since sending those messages and realized I was being a bit dumb.
