Sounds like a great thing to make a suggestion for
Admin forced me to do this against my will.
Seems like the perfect solution to balance it.

I feel like the timing element is even more impressive when you can’t cook it. Right now you can appear around a corner with it cooked to explode as soon as you throw it, giving zero counterplay.I’m not sure removing the cooking mechanic is the right move. I’d rather see it balanced in a different way instead—maybe by reducing the blast radius damage and limiting how many grenades you can buy per round to just one. (Even just removing it from the point shop might be the better move.)
The main reason I’d keep cooking is that it adds a timing skill element and lets people throw them into a room with limited reaction time. I believe it is too strong just from the blast radius being too large. A direct blast should be a one-shot, but being 15 feet away should not.

What if there was an audible sound cue of the pin being pulled? Would that help with the around the corner bit?
If the blast radius were reduced there’d be more skill in aiming at an exact spot versus just nuking a whole area. Even in CS the grenade rarely kills unless you’re already low or it is a very direct blast.
I would be down with trying this out at least. What if there was an audible sound cue of the pin being pulled? Would that help with the around the corner bit?
