How much time will you be able to dedicate to staffing?
Around 10 hrs per week.
Previous Staffing Experience
I have previously been staff on STTT, SGM, and on Giant's Lair for about a month.

Just to get ahead of that, the reason I resigned was due to a situation that was later resolved. Essentially, I felt misled and disrespected by lack of communication. Since then, apologies have been made and the protocols have been changed. This should no longer be an issue.
How do you intend to make the server welcoming and bring new players in?
As always whether or not I'm staff, I always reach out to help new or struggling players. I try to be friendly, explain how the plugins we have work, and give players information to smooth out their experience in game.

As for bringing new players in, I have extensive experience with advertising campaigns for my business, and I wouldn't mind helping out there.

I'm going to give this a neutral for the time being due to some concerns I have regarding your social conduct and communication style within the community. Now while I'm able to recognize your experience and your ability to positively interact with newer players (especially in Minecraft!!), I've also observed a repeating pattern of abrasive, almost passive aggressive behavior that has left other members personally feeling targeted &/or uncomfortable (outside of Minecraft).

I don't mean to personally attack you or anything, but I just see it as yknow a legitimate concern regarding consistency and creating a welcoming and professional environment for everyone, especially when dealing with members you may (or may not!) dislike or have personal grievances with.

Hi Lemoncakes! Thanks for applying again.

I will say you were very active on the MC server and very helpful to those who needed it which was appreciated! I have no doubt that you would continue this as a Mod for Minecraft again.

I do have a concern though regarding your attitude towards members of the community who you may not personally like as much and may go as far as to antagonize them and provoke a reaction. This kind of behavior is unacceptable for any staff member (past, present, future) and I would like to know if this will continue or if you have anything to say regarding it?

I would also like to add, your last tenure ended very abruptly which makes me personally wary of a future pickup anytime soon due to how recent it was. So as of now I am neutral but leaning towards -1 at the moment.

Hello!

I've felt like Lemoncakes and I have shared a brainwave frequency in some staff-chats fairly recently, specific details I can't go into here. And being a central player in the resignation and talking with Lemoncakes during and after I can understand the feeling and actions that followed. I think recovering the relationships strained from that situation was something I was surprised and delighted to have seen happen and I think shows the ability to accept the faults and apologies of others which I think well aligns with the staffing philosophy that is being promoted by the leadership.

I am not well informed on the comments about antagonizing community members as it was not something I've personally witnessed or seen after. With that grain of salt in mind my initial opinion is a +1 for Lemoncakes returning to a staffing position

So, this is in relation to Proper and Frosty, the only two people I have had any substantial negative interactions with. Part of that is that I started off on the wrong foot, misunderstanding the nature of the banter between Proper and I. Afterwards, the only thing that comes to mind is me joking about white people gentrifying heaven and gentrification being A-okay, actually. I intended that as an obvious joke, they took it as baiting, and I rolled with it making that a part of the joke.

If you check Discord chat logs, you'll find that otherwise I have either not interacted with them at all, or I have responded to Frosty on the MC server to help answer a question, or engaged with Proper on a friendly level. Ultimately, I don't have beef with anyone at this point. Proper has obviously been putting effort in and has been pleasant to be around. I haven't seen anything at all from Frosty, but I've heard he has also improved. As far as I'm concerned, I don't have any negative feelings towards anyone at this point.

That being said, I understand the perception from some staff. If you don't know me and mostly go off of the stories, it might seem like more than it actually was. I can take extensive screenshots of both instances later when I am home to post here.

But, while I was staff I aimed to avoid any interactions that could be combative with members of the server.

I already responded to a lot of this in my post to Ari.

As far as my abrupt resignation goes, I discussed this in detail with the parties involved, and the issue that lead to it was resolved in a satisfactory way.

I this instance, I was asked to reapply and after some consideration, I decided that I was content with how everything was resolved.

Also, if you have any other instances in the past year aside from what I have already discussed, I'm interested. We can't always control how we are interpreted, but there's always room to take feedback and learn to communicate better.

Hello Lemon
I've held off on posting because my feedback has a level of personal bias. I've tried my best to temper that.

I can echo some of what fiz and Ari mentioned above. Beyond that, I've interacted with you quite a bit in our shared capacity of having the advisor role.
In this context, I've seen you have quite a bit of drive toward the community and Minecraft in particular.

I've also felt personally uncomfortable in a number of conversations. This is something I haven't expressed to you, so holding it against you here isn't fair. Consider this more feedback for growth than outright disapproval of your prospective return to staff - hopefully it's helpful.
The reason for my discomfort is on one hand my own personal anxiety - that's my cross to bear - and on the other hand... In my view, your manner can be abrasive, dismissive, or outright demeaning. It can make conversations with you really frustrating, especially for someone like myself. Snarky responses, in my opinion rude jokes, and in other contexts making comments that to me are frankly hitting a sore spot. And beyond the personal nature of my particular angle here, I think your general communication and manner could benefit from being kinder. I think that's achievable without censoring your personality. Let all of this be food for thought - I'm sorry for my part in not expressing it sooner.

Overall I'm neutral. I think you have a lot to offer the team in a role as staff. But I don't love the way you've interacted with a lot of people in the past, myself included. I'm reasonably confident that you're both willing and able to listen, so I hope you'll take my earnest feedback as just that <3

Siddo, thank you for taking the time to write this out. And let me lead off by apologizing for any discomfort I made you feel, that wasn't my intention. I think one of the great tragedies of all of our discussions being text based is that tone doesn't carry well. When I make those comments and jokes in staff discussion and in the advisor chat, I'm not serious, I'm just trying to engage in sardonic humor, a style that I've always enjoyed, and given your responding in kind, I thought you were in on the joke. It's gutting to see that I was wrong.

Obviously, I wish you would have addressed this to me the moment you first felt uncomfortable so I could change the way I interact with you, but I also understand that anxiety is a bitch, and the very thought of that was probably nerve racking. I'm sure making this post also spiked your nerves, so again, thank you for taking on that burden and having the bravery to post this.

As for a solution? I think what I'll do is just start off with the assumption that people here aren't going to be comfortable with that style of humor, and only let that through when I explicitly know they are comfortable with it. I have to admit, I'm not super used to people not speaking their minds, the people I have surrounded myself in my life are straightforward, not particularly self concious, and don't suffer from anxiety. So given that this is a new environment, and it isn't as rough as it was back in the day, I can make that adjustment with no complaint.

Once again, thank you for taking the time to make this post. And once again, I apologize for hurting you, even if that wasnt my intent. Please know that I have nothing but love and respect for you as both an individual and as a staff member.
