Why should you be considered for a moderator position?1. Do you meet all the minimum requirements listed in the Requirements Thread? Most of my hours are afk point farming but I've def hit 20 hours of rounds played.
2. Why do you want to join the Giants Lair staff team?
I like being involved and contributing to something that lasts. I’m also just tired of one-tricking Captain America — I want to hang out with the bois, be useful, and help the server stay solid. I’ve always enjoyed being part of a team and building a community. Moderation gives me a way to do that in a way that matters.
I stayed active on the Serious TTT forums even long after the server itself shut down. It was such an important part of me growing up, and at the time, the only real friends I had were through TTT. This community, these people — they mean a lot to me. They always have.
3. What skills or experiences do you bring to the team?
- Former Serious TTT moderator (2013)
- Current Community Moderator at TheBlock (discord.gg/TheBlock)
- Former paid community staff at XSET, focused on moderation, community support, and engagement
- Expert-level Discord user with deep familiarity in managing channels, bots, permissions, and moderation tools
- Experienced event organizer, both online (e.g., streamed and Discord-hosted events) and in-person — I know how to plan, run, and support events that keep a community active and engaged
- Ran the Burning Blossoms / Volcanic Violets Overwatch server, where I managed low-tier competitive teams and an active community. I scouted, coached, and managed players — several of whom went on to compete at the collegiate level.
I know how to lead, communicate clearly, and create a space where people feel invested and supported — whether it's a game server, Discord, or competitive team.
4. How active are you across our platforms (GMod, Discord, Forums)?
- GMod: I’ll be playing at least a couple hours daily — probably significantly more.
- Discord: On daily
- Forums: I will increase my activity.
5. How much time can you realistically dedicate to staffing per week?
15–30 hours a week, depending on what’s going on. I’m around consistently and can be flexible if the server needs coverage or something comes up.
6. How well do you handle pressure, criticism, or heated situations?
Very well. I stay calm, I don’t take things personally, and I know when to talk it out versus when to just act. I don’t escalate unless someone gives me a reason.
7. How would you describe your conflict resolution style?
Fair and direct. I approach every situation with context and clarity in mind. If someone’s just acting up, I’ll talk to them. If they keep pushing it, I’ll shut it down. I don’t take things personally, and I don’t escalate unless it’s necessary.
8. Are you familiar with the TTT server rules and general community standards?
Yes. I’ve reviewed the rules and understand how they’re meant to be applied in live situations. I also have over 2,500 hours in TTT, and I’ve seen just about everything. When I first started playing years ago, a lot of my time was spent trying to figure out how to bend or break the rules without getting caught. That was the game for me. Because of that, I have a very deep understanding of how players try to exploit systems and loopholes. The odds that someone comes up with a new way to grief or loophole that I haven’t seen before are low — very low. And I know how to shut that behavior down effectively.
9. What does your punishment history (if any) look like on our servers?
When I first joined Serious TTT in 2013, I was banned for ghosting. I didn’t fully understand the server culture or expectations at the time — I learned from it, came back, and later became a moderator for that same community.
Later on, I was removed from staff during the OP 666 situation — not because I did anything wrong, but because I was friends with the people involved. I wasn’t part of it, wasn’t in their voice comms, and had no idea what they were doing.
10. What is your reputation like within the community? Can you name any reputable players or staff who would vouch for you?
I stay low-drama and help where I can. I try to keep things fair, chill, and moving. I’m confident some regulars and maybe even staff would vouch for me if asked.
