The Dumbest Death of a Server

They haven't front paged s&box yet, effectively it has only been soft released, they want the front page hard release to happen once more real content has been made, because the main issue with making a strong game engine is it's also very easy to make slop
will slopbox fix my dating life?

Ahhh fair fair. Weird though because I saw a buncha stuff about it when it released but the overall consensus was "What the fuck is this lol"

I'll happily address. I did not say that Roberts faith isn't real. Nor did I attack the particular faith that he has. I made a comment, an observation, on someones behaviour based on my own experience in the Christian faith.

Calling out a particular behaviour of someone does not inherently make the comment bigoted just because I mentioned faith. I didn't say he wasn't a Christian, or any other heinous comment a bigot could. I said the behaviour was not very rooted in the beliefs of the Christian faith. I'm not intolerant of others beliefs. Actually quite the opposite. I'd argue m one of the more understanding and open people around.

Either way I'm not going to continue to argue on the thread out of respect for the OP upon reflection of my actions; I don't want to further diminish someone else's work.
Is it really so hard to understand that using someone's religion as some kind of "gotcha" or neg is wrong?

This is a common and repeated issue in Giant's Lair. People on GL feel a little too comfortable to attack people's religion in this place.

Giant's Lair is one of the most bigoted and hateful places I have ever had the displeasure of existing in.
i agree, i'm persecuted for my belief in minions moreso than anyone else

This is not a question that helps people learn.
If you truly believe that it is wrong and want others to share in that understanding, you must demonstrate why and how it's wrong, what the damage or harm is.
Begging the question doesn't promote learning. It only invites mockery and furthers the divide between people.

Have you ever been outside your house or a public institution of any kind? What places have you encountered in your life that would make an online space where racism, sexism, and slurs aren't tolerated seem like one of the most bigoted and hateful places you've experienced?

Slurs being banned does not imply GL is not hateful

Robert just got shit for not being a good Christian by Anna. That shit is unacceptable. Just because anna didn't call him a gay f word or something when she made the hateful comment doesn't make it any less hateful.

lol

Critiquing a religion - or pointing out when an adherent acts in violation of the faith they claim to subscribe to - is neither wrong nor evil nor bad.
For Christianity, scripture even encourages that you rebuke your fellow man when they sin against you, see Luke 17:3-4.
And the core command that Jesus gave Christians is to love one another and to forgive one another if they repent, which is in line with the old testament.

I do not have the same in-depth knowledge of the faith in Judaism, even with the overlap of the old testament and the Torah, I know there is a lot of additional teachings and rabbinic literature, which frankly I have never read nor studied. But I imagine Judaism in many ways mirror the same overarching tenets, including the ten commandments. Such as the tenth, to not covet what belongs to another. Would it be against the Jewish faith to tell another that they have acted against the will of God, should you discover that they have broken one of the ten commandments? Or, for instance, Leviticus 19:18 says that you must not bear a grudge or seek revenge against your neighbour, but love them as yourself.
Now, if we're being very critical and also taking into account the context at the time, this (Lev 19:18) likely refers to "your people" in the sense of other Jews. However, Leviticus 19:33-34 commands that you equally love the stranger as your neighbour, for Jews too were once strangers in a foreign land.

All of which is to say, even if we go by the word of God in scripture, Anna's comment is not hateful - it is accurate and a warranted rebuke of someone's actions being sinful against their neighbour.
