Welcome to Zombie Survival!
You are a Kleiner, in ZS speak that means a noob... but worry not friends for this thread will help you become the best Kleiner you can be!

ZS is a gamemode made of two teams; the humans and the zombies. Humans need to survive 6 rounds to win the match, once you die you are on the zombie team. In order for humans to win, they need to build barricades that will survive the increasingly difficult onslaught of zombies. As you kill, repair cades and heal players you get points to get better weapons and equipment. Heres a few montages of what kind of chaos CAN happen in ZS
First 2 things you should do:
Make sure you have your phase button working, if you don't, you will not be able to phase into the barricade and you will definitely die! It is Z by default. When you press the button your weapon should holster and you will walk slower momentarily. If this doesn't happen, the bind is not active. If this is the case, go to the main menu gmod settings and bind whatever button you want to be this to "suitzoom"
Press F4 for customization options - the most important being music volume, which is way too loud by default. It is located near the bottom of F4 settings.
Before the game starts, everyone will be human, the initial zombies will be those closest to zombie spawn (or bots if pop isn't high enough) and you can tell if you are too close because there will be a small list of initial zombies, make sure your name isn't on that list.
Worth Menu & Arsenal Crate - Is where you buy everything you need to survive! before the game starts the worth menu can be accessed by F2 if you close out of it. Once the game starts, you can only access the worth menu through arsenal crates. What you buy depends on what you want your playstyle to be like; If you want to be a strong fighter, get weapons and perks. Healer medkit and ammo, cader hammer & nails, or support and get the arsenal and resupply yourself! Healing and repairing barricades also give you points. If people use your arsenal or resupply crates they will also give you passive points. All are valid playstyles.

In the Worth Menu there is;
Guns
Ammunition - has gun ammo as well as medkit power and nails
Melee
Tools - where medkit and hammer are
Deployables - where arsenal and resupply are
Other - Grenades
Traits - Perks to help you survive
Returns - burdens to take in exchange for more initial points
The arsenal crate has way more than the initial worth menu for you to get as rounds progress and you rack up points. There is also a discount on the worth menu in-between rounds.
To place arsenal and resupply, crouch with it equipped and aim it at the ground, you may need to spam left click to get it to place because sometimes its finnicky.
To pickup your arsenal or resupply (if you are retreating farther into the cade) press shift - it is good to do this if the zombies are getting close to breaking through.
Barricades - Keep the zombies out. As zombies hit the props that make the barricade, they lose health. You can repair barricades using a carpenters hammer and using left click.
I REPEAT, DO NOT MESS WITH ANOTHER PLAYERS BARRICADE! High pop is not the time to learn how to barricade, the only exception to this is maps like abandoned mall, you can go find a part of the map where the props you use to practice most likely wont affect the main barricade. THE ONLY THING YOU SHOULD DO IN ANOTHER CADERS BARRICADE IS REPAIR AND PROTECT IT! ESPECIALLY DO NOT REMOVE ANOTHER CADERS NAILS!
When we are on high pop, there will be professional caders on, leave it to the professionals.
That said, ZS is a gamemode that can be played even with 1 player. If you wish to learn, there is no better time than when you are alone with a few bots and can test and see what cades you can make and keep them out. If cading interests you, there are a ton of tutorials online on what not to do and the many different styles of cades.
The Fearshop (Lets go Gambling!) - !Shop is the Fearshop, a custom made pointshop full of very unique items that you can pull from crates
Zombies
You kill humans and destroy barricades to get to them, you need to coordinate in order to do this especially if the barricade is strong.
F3 is the zombie class menu, every round that passes you are given new zombie classes to chose from, and at the start of every round the zombie with the most damage will become a boss (bosses are also located in F3)
Zombies can propkill using loose props, the smaller props are usually better at this and the best class to use is Wraith (round 2)
Zombie Classes
Zombie
Headcrab - small anklebiter, can be used to get into cades that arent fully secured
Fleshcreeper - creates new zombie spawns
Ghoul - can poison players but slightly less health than zombie
Wraith - Can become invisible if using slow walk, slow but heavy hitting
Fast Zombie - can scale walls and leap into the air
Poison Zombie - high health and can spit poison
Bloated Zombie - highest health
Poison Headcrab - can shoot poison at players and disorient them
Bosses
Nightmare - high health heavy hitting zombie
Tickle Monster - Long reach hits, can kill players inside a cade or force them back
Pukepus - pukes large amounts of acid that can damage players and cades to force them back
Shade - can pick up and throw props
Butcher - fast running and hitting , good for if theres a lot of runners / spawnkillers.

Wave 1
- **Zombie**: [Primary Fire] Melee. [Shift] Lay Down and while Laying Down removes own presence from the Fear-Meter, heals themself, and restricts camera movement (Press Shift again to get up). [Secondary Fire] Moan/Groan. (Passive) Fatal Hit on Legs, Zombie can lose its legs or stagger and recover some hp. [R/Reload] Moan and Groan until you receive damage or perform a major action.
- **Regular Head Crab**: [Primary Fire] Lunge; deals low damage. [Shift] Can usually burrow into some soft surfaces (carpets, dirt, grass, etc.); moving causes dust to shift, revealing position. [Secondary Fire/R/Reload] Squeak/Purr.
- **Flesh Creeper**: [Primary Fire] Standing Melee/Break Nest; melee causes Flesh Creeper swings and disables movement keys while swinging and deals damage to nests made by Flesh Creepers. [R/reload] Has a lunge, allowing for quick burst movement. [Secondary Fire] Create/Build/Repair Nest; does as said.
- **Ghoul**: [Primary Fire] Melee. (Primary Fire Passive) Melee applies "Ghoul Touch" which makes humans take ~33% additional damage for a short amount of time. [Secondary Fire] Slowing Spit. [Shift] Lay Down. [R/Reload] Groan/Cry
Wave 2
- **Restless Zombie** [Primary Fire] Melee. (Passive) Can not die while standing; upon receiving mortal damage while standing, will enter a fallen down/stagger state in which the Restless Zombie is vulnerable to death. Upon fatal damage while fallen down, restless zombie turns into a crawler/torso. [Secondary Fire/R/Reload] Moan/Groan.
-**Wraith**: [Primary Fire] Static Melee; All movement momentarily halts while swinging. [Shift] Slow walk to become almost invisible, but can still be seen if a player is super observant. [Secondary Fire] Scream; if hugging a human Wraith's scream shakes the human's screen for a brief amount of time.
- **Fast Head Crab** [Primary Fire] Quick Lunge; can lunge often, cooldown halved on successful bite, low damage. Is a more aggressive, agile, and physically weaker variant of the normal head crab. Can Not Burrow. Can Not Squeak or Purr...
Wave 3
- **Bloated Zombie**: High Health and Slow. [Primary Fire] Melee. (Passive) Upon death explodes a small burst of poison in the direction you were facing. [Shift] Lays down like the Zombie. [R/Reload] Stretch Noises
