Not a new role suggestion but:
Jester feels very out of place as is in the past few games. The optimal strat seems to be just not playing the game, and because we have no role list we're forced to hang an obvious jester to avoid the possibility of an evil faking jester. Of course, evils can fake being jester regardless of whether or not there's a role list, but the complete absence of one puts the town in a position where we just have to hang people who aren't participating. Also exacerbated by the fact that we've generally played games where abstaining was not an option. Cloudy literally won as jester by refusing to participate, despite us knowing that she was almost certainly the jester, because we needed to vote someone. (No shade on you cloudy.)
I would propose one of two changes at the discretion of future GMs.
1. Don't run a jester in games with no visible role lists. You don't need to tell us this of course, just consider it while you're making the role list.
2. Add the option to vote someone as jester, instead of just voting for who to execute. If a jester is voted as jester, they lose. If the town votes that someone is a jester and gets it wrong, perhaps the jester gets some kind of boon, like a new night action or something to help them get lynched.
I just generally think that the jester adds a really fun dynamic to the game when they need to play the game seriously. Being incentivized to not participate is boring for everyone, especially the jester.
