I was part of a community in the past that utilized routine meetings in teamspeak to inform players of current server news, big additions/subtractions, and other community relevant information. They were also utilized as a place for community members to ask questions to the leadership at regular intervals.
The meetings, being routine, would draw a lot of people onto the TeamSpeak server at regular intervals and helped really make the TeamSpeak feel alive both before and after said meetings, often sparking TF2/Jackbox/other gamenights and fun immediately after the news is distributed.
After each meeting, a recap would be posted for the community members who missed it covering all the juicy details. Let's pretend a meeting for GL happened yesterday and you missed it; this is what a recap might look like:
Monthly seems like a good interval on paper for such a thing. Biweekly might have merit too. (this would happen on discord)
